In the name of sacrifice, poverty and scarcity have been glorified at the extent that India is being called poor country in the global perspective. Renunciation, tapa, simplicity, living in minimum needs, possession, amassment, lavish, showy and splurge in other words misuse of natural resources and the human beings dependent on nature, environment for their livelihood are destructive or self destructive for entire living things.

There is minor difference between possession and renunciation, prosperity and poverty, materialism and spiritualism. The nature is like mother. It would be religious to be strong by taking mother’s milk. But at the same time, sucking mother’s blood is a sin. Ishavasyamida sarv yatkichch vigagyam jagat I Ten vyaktenbhugstithah magrichhah kasthasvitdhanam I The message of Yajurveda or Ishopnishad that the entire prosperity is of god. The god created the whole universe. The god is the creator, controller, prop, manager and lord. Therefore, we should be strong, prosper and opulence by using natural resources as we live on mother’s milk by believing god as everything. Avoid misusing natural resources. The intellectuals of the world ask the people to proceed on the path of stable and overall development. The entire world is advocating for sustainable and inclusive development.

The conclusion is that we should use our knowledge, sensitiveness, courage, valour and enterprise to boost non-violent affluence, divine property and aesthetic prosperity. We should use minimum earning for our livelihood and utilise remaining for the prosperity, health, peace and community service of entire world. Don’t put yourself and the nation in the poverty by becoming negligent and poor or pretending of renunciation.

The entire yoga and karmyoga, aesthetic prosperity and divine affluence are an example of this vedic great nation building. If we become great, this nation will prosper, great and splendid.

Patanjali is doing tremendous work to safeguard agriculture and saint culture in the country. Today, the house has turned into hospital and the farmers are burning their hole due to costly chemical, while climate, soil, cereals and fodder are getting polluted.

The number of patients suffering from deadly diseases like cancer is increasing due to rising use of chemicals in the agriculture sector. Around 80% citizens in the country having population of 135 crore are associated with either agriculture or its trade. But in the reign of chemical farming, the farmers have turned into poor, dependent and labourers. They have to burn their hole in the name of fertilizer, medicine and agri resources and tools. Given the farmers’ problems, Patanjali has charted out a plan under Prime Minister Skills Development Scheme. Under the scheme, Patanjali Bio Research Institute organised four days ‘Patanjali Farmer Prosperity Programme’. PBRI, ASDCI, NSDC inked MOU. Sita Soil Test Kit has also been launched with the help of BARI and PBRI.

The world is witnessing a new revolution in every field. Prime Minister has aimed at doubling farmers’ income by 2022, under which this MOU has been signed. It’s a new scheme of self reliance in which a special training programme is being launched under the assistance and guidance of NSDC, SDEM and IASC. It aims at making the farmers’ income double, training and encouragement of bio farming, setting up of practical agri labs and making farmers self reliant.

Respected Swami Jee is committed to promote farmers to do natural farming for family and later for trade. The farmers should do yoga to get rid of disease, tension and poverty. The farmers in our country have to spend half of their income on the diseases, enmity and fighting.

Let’s promise to lead an ideal life by becoming yogavrati, govrati and swadeshivrati and build healthy, prosperous and divine India by associating with patanjali.

The farmer prosperity programme was organised at patanjali yogapeeth. Around 5000 farmers of 600 districts including ICAR DG Dr Trilochan Mahapatra Jee, Pujya Swami Ramdev Jee Maharaj, Pujya Acharya Balkrishna Jee Maharaj, Ex-DDG of ICAR Dr PL Gautam Jee, IASDC Deputy Superintendent Dr Karnal Gupta Jee, Sri Mahendra Payal Jee of NSDC, IASDC CEO Sri Satyendra Arya Jee, Dr Ravindra Babu, Sri Pawan Kumar, Dr AK Mehta, Dr RK Anand and other senior officials of PBRI were present on the occasion of inauguration of programme.
Launching sita soil kit developed in association of BARI and PBRI on the occasion, respected Swami Ramdev Jee Maharaj said that farmer will remain use overdose of fertilisers in their fields until they find out the insufficient elements in the fields. The soil test kit aims at making farmers aware of the need of nutritious elements in the fields. Using required fertilisers will lessen farmers’ cost and maintain soil fertility. For this, sita soil kit is the best option. It’s cheaper in comparison with other soil kits available in the market. The common farmers themselves can also test the soil.
He said that around 10-20 percent farmers in different countries have to pay two times or four times for natural, anti-toxic and bio farming products. The people are becoming aware of deadly diseases due to agri products produced through chemicals. In the next 10-20 years, the farmers in India will start doing natural, anti-toxic and bio farming. We have to train farmers apart from developing bio farming based market. He said that patanjali has done documentation of hundreds of vegetables, fruits and other agri products.
Param Pujya Swami Jee Maharaj himself is the son of a farmer. He himself has done farming and gaupalan. He is aware of every problem of farmers. Neither intellectuals nor politicians can help the farmers. Only farmer’s son can do this.
Making ayurveda famous in the world, Acharya Jee made the farmers self reliant through medicinal farming. He is committed to make farming toxin free. On the occasion of largest farmer reliance scheme in the country, patanjali yogapeeth has set up many new records. Patanjali never followed anyone. Patanjali farmer prosperity scheme will be an example in the world.
On the occasion, chief guest Dr Trilochan Mahapatra said that there were no adequate cereals to feed 30-35 crore citizens in 1950-60 decade, but our production increased 5.5 times. We became self dependent in the field of cereals, pulses, milk production and fisheries due to farmers’ labours. But the rising population is a big problem. On the one side, agri land is shrinking, on the other the water availability and soil fertility are decreasing. Therefore food supply to the citizen is a challenge. The coordination of new technique in traditional farming in the present context is the need of the hour. Patanjali is doing tremendous work to improve bio farming. Swami Jee Maharaj improved health system in the country through yoga. Patanjali spread yoga, ayurveda and bio farming under the guidance of respected Acharya Jee and started a revolution in the social and national life.
Offering obligation to the farmers, Dr PL Gautam said that we are fortunate enough that our farmer brothers are producing cereals for 135 crore people in the country. The production is unstable due to use of chemicals and medicines while traditional farming is effective. Patanjali has done a vast work in national interest. Dr Karnal Gupta said that patanjali is imparting training (120 hours) of bio farming to 80, 000 farmers. Sri Satyendra Arya said that patanjali is safeguarding culture. All the farmers are skilled but they were not proved. After proof, the farmers will get benefit of various schemes.
For getting benefit of this scheme, the farmers can associate with local patanjali farmer service committee under which, bio farming training will be given free of cost at local stall.
ishi-parameshthi prajapati- savita I Chhand- bhurigjagati I

Vasoh pavitramasi shatadharam vasoh pavitramasi sahastradharam I
Devastva savita punatu vasoh pavitrena shatadharena supva kamdhuksha II 1.3 II

It is a mantra for mentioning specialisation of vasurup yagya-first sentence of mantra-‘vasoh pavitramasi shatadharam’. Here, ‘vasoh’ and ‘asi’ will change into shashthyanta pada prathama and kriyapada ‘asti’ respectively. Although, there is similar gender-person in aim vidheya then ‘pavitram’ should be considered as neuter gender. For example- ‘pararthabhidhanam vriti’ has been used in grammar or it can be called chhandas use. It means that the vasurup yagya is set to possess entire world and it’s purifier. The word pavitra should be considered ‘puyateaneneti pavitra shudhdhikarakam karm’ in karankarak. It means that yagya is the process of purification.
Second sentence is- ‘vasoh pavitramasi sahastradharam’ it means that this will possess entire universe. The co-existence of earth, water, fire, air, sky, tree, medicines, cow, horse, wild animals and human beings is the form of yagya which is the intention of upkarya-upkarak. Other ingredients abide by the rules of god. But the human beings fail to perform the yagya rituals properly due to ignorance, fear, attachment etc. They have to face innumerable sorrow. Therefore, veda education provides knowledge of duty to the human beings. So that, they can’t break natural rhythm. Live in prosperity and let others to do the same.

The next sentence- ‘devastva savita punatu’. Here, ‘tva’ is giving meaning of ‘tama’ from vyatyaya. It means that savita which gives birth to vasu, fire, earth and thirty three deities must purify vasurup yagya. The savita must empower human beings not to break co-existence universe of yagya.
The forth sentence of mantra-‘vasoh pavitrena shatadharena supva’ in which ‘vasoh means ‘vasu’. ‘Punatu’ verb should be linked with prakrit sentence. Here, ‘supva’ means well purifier or tool of purity. Therefore, oh jagadishwar!’ The meaning of entire sentence is oh jagadishwar! purify us through yagya and veda.
The last sentence of mantra- ‘kam adhuksha’, kam is a remaining direction and a person of chhandas. The meaning of adhyahar or vipsa of jigyaso or vidvan is that oh vidvan or jigyaso! The meaning of gau is also vedavani. Therefore, ‘kam adhuksha means that how many vedavni have been tapped.

The meaning of mantra can also be changed. Oh, jigyasu or vidvan! You are the tool of purity. Here, pavitram and shatadharam are samanadhikaran. ‘Vasoh pavitramasi sahastradharam’. You have the capacity of maintaining purity of yagya. The human beings have potential but they have to give up laziness. Vasurup yagya is the tool of purity and prosperity. Srimadbhagvad Gita mentions-

The human being is linked with karma. Therefore, oh Arjun! Do your duty for yagya.

Sahyagyah prajah srishtta purovacha prajapatih I
Anena prasavishyadhvamesha voasitvashtkamadhuk II (Gita 3.10)

Make the deities happy through yagya and that deities will prosper you. (What is the number of deities-see Yagyavalkya-Shakalya dialogue in brihadaranyakopnishad ( A.3, Bra 9, K. 1)

The deities will give you prosperity. Therefore do the yagya for the welfare of human being.

Annadbhavanti butani parjanyadnnsambhavah I
Yagyadbhavati parjanyo yagyah karmasmudbhavah II
Karma brahmodbhavam vidhi brahmaksharasamudbhavam I
Tasmatsarvagatam brahma nityam yagye pratishthitam II (Gita-3.14-15)

The human beings live on cereal which grows due to rain. The yagya brings raining. The karma brings yagya. According to manusmriti, aahuti offered in fire is related with the sun, which is helpful in raining. Brahma has always been revered in the yagya.

Evam pravartitam chakram nanuvartayatih yah I
Aghayurindriyaramo mogham partha sa jeevati II (Gita-3.16)

Oh parth! Those who don’t want to continue this karmachakra are doing sin. They are burden on the earth.
The third sentence is-‘Devastva savita punatu vasoh pavitrena shatadharena supva’. You have the capacity of being pure. Savita deity may give purity to you.
The last sentence of mantra is question- let me know how many cows you have possessed.

The study of first, second and third mantra makes it clear that the yagya is the greatest duty. We have two types of universe- ishwarsrishti and jeevsrishti. All the karma is yagya in ishwarsrishti, while in jeevsrishti, the human being needs continuous courage. For this, the sage started preaching and writing holy scriptures. The human being has to do yagya. Selfishness breaks yagya. It brings patience. Pitriyagya mentions about respecting the elders in family. Bhutayagya or nriyagya describes about helping the poor in society. Similarly, devayagya and brahmayagya describe maintaining universal institutions and self purity respectively. The mantra says that the yagya means purification. The yagya is the vast word- bhagwan guru has mentioned 12 types of yagya in chapter 4 of shloka 24-33 in Srimadbhagvad Gita.

The history also mentions the truth and the evidences of country and society and the incidents happened in the world those day. We know the nature, power and weakness of ourselves and societies. It also provides knowledge of strategic power and capacity of ourselves and others so that our power can be boosted to confront with others.
Valmiki Ramayana describes about Bahvik, Yavan, Darad. Parsik and Yavan province are known as state of Uttarapath in Mahabharata and Raghuvansham.
(Valimiki Ramayana, Ayodhya Kand, 68/18-19; Mahabharata, Bhishma Parv, Jambukhand Vinirman Parv, Chapter 9 and 20; Raghuvansham, Fourth Sarg, Shloka 60-64)
The 20th chapter of Bhishma Parv in Mahabharata describes Kaurava and Pandava and military of both the sides. The Kaurava military describes kings and militaries of the Shaka, the Pahalava and the Yavana under control of Kripacharya. According to Manusmriti, the Yavana, the Shaka, the Bahvik, the Pahalava, the Kirata, the Parada are those kshatriya castes which got demeaned due to lack of the yagya and refinement. Therefore, the Yavana and the Bahvik have always been the part of India. The Yavana and the Rome were also the part of Shaka which are Indian kshatriya.
The Yavana and the Rome had never been part of Europe. They had been part of India and Jambudweep for thousands of years.

The Yavana province was declared as Europe in 19th century
When the Europeans particularly its priests knew the false news spread by themselves about the world and it was proved that there are vast civilisations in the world then the intellectuals got disturbed and tried to find out ancient great history of Europe. Later, they tried to write its history. They started to call the Yavana and the Rome regions of Mediterranean Sea. However, they are different from cold region of central Europe. They are warm region and related with India. Turkey, Rome and Yavana have always been part of India (See Mahabharata Bhishma Parv Chapter 20)
There was a sprawling temple of Atula Devi (power) at Agrapur (renamed by the priests as Akropolis). It was famous for its greatness for around 1.5 thousands of years. The idol was offered prayer with jewelleries made of gold and elephant teeth. In 15thcentury, the priests snatched it and declared as church (A short history of world, Jaffery Blaney, Penguin, New Delhi 2001, Chapter 61 Page 107). Later, the Muslims snatched it from the Christians and built mosque. The military of Venice demolished it in 1687. There has been Indian imprint on language, food items and culture till recently.
The Christianity developed first time in 19thcentury in Yavana province. Till mid 20thcentury, there were 8000 christian priests in entire Yavana province. And they were married according to the Yavana tradition as that was the part of Brahmin tradition of India. Great poet Homer also mentioned about Elo who is highly influenced by Mahabharata.

No internal evidence of Alexander attack
There is no internal evidence of attack by Alexander on India. Seven year ago from the beginning of 19th century, priest William Zones wrote the story of Alexander and termed him the great for the first time citing Indica of Megasthenes. There is no evidence of that Indica. No poetry and write up mentions about Alexander coming to India.
Page 537-540 of Encyclopaedia Americana edited by Bernard mentions that Alexander (king of Makdunia) moved from Palla (Indian name) and reached Patal along Dajla Farat river and returned through Takshila through Makrana to Kabul. Because Alexander didn’t dare to enter into India listening about mighty power of military of India’s emperor Paurav Raj. Page 540 of part 1 of Encyclopaedia Americana says that military of Alexander considered moving forward from Hindukush worthless and Alexander knew that Sindhu is not river but a sea. Therefore it’s impossible for him to even think about conquering India. This story was written and spread.
Only Encyclopaedia Americana presented speeches of British priests as historical evidence that there had been great emperor Alexander. Earlier, the priests used to call Alexander Yavana commander. Later they started to call him Makdunia emperor.
The Indians are unaware of the fact that 700 years ago Alexander era, the entire Yavana was divided into 9 separate states. Out of which Sparta and Antika were the prominent ones, while Makdunia was the smallest state. It’s of 250 km long and 7 km wide. Therefore, it’s smaller than that of Gorakhpur or Gazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. The total population was around 1 lakh. Presently, population of Makdunia is around 21 lakh. It’s known as republica Makdunia.
Entire Yavana province including Makdunia was won by defeating Parsik king who was in really the king of India in 380 BC. It’s said that after his father’s death, Alexander waged war with Parsik military. Nobody knows the results of this war. Because, few days later, he returned entire region to the Parsik king.
Although, Alexander never moved Rome, Europe, America, Australia, but the Christian priests started to call him great after 2,200 years of his birth. He never dared to confront with his contemporary kings. He became king at the age of only 22 years and died after 11 years. After few days, the Shaka won Makdunia.
There were vast states in India those days. It’s matter of inferior complexity and coward to term Alexander touching boundary of India as his victory in the time of Maurya dynasty, Gupt dynasty etc.

When the people promise to move on pure, whole and pacific path, then they look forward at the meditation. We feel that we should do meditation. But we get derailed due to unavailability of conducive methods. Many a times, we move ahead on improper and wrong paths and lose mental and physical balance by adopting wrong and unauthentic meditation methods cited by hypocrites. We discuss about it in details.
We use the word meditation several times in daily. For example if we forget anything, we say that we had no ‘proper care’. The mother dispatches her son out of station by asking him to look after himself, similarly, the teacher orders his student to keep attention on the blackboard.
It’s matter of discussion that what’s the meaning of all these words? In the first example, it means memory, in the second, it means to take care and in third, it means to concentrate. Now if we want to do meditation of god, we will use that meaning. We will remember the god. It means that we will remember through our thoughts that oh god! What blessings you are showering on me that you have sent me on the earth because I can know you, I can get you, I can grasp your blessings, help, mercy and affection in this body. Oh my father! You are existence of mine, you are the creator of this very planet, sky, air, water and fire.
Therefore, remember the ultimate power due to which the sun and the stars are providing immense energy.
Let’s ponder over its other meaning which is look after. It means protect himself/herself from physical and mental agonies. When we go on the spiritual path, then we start to look after in really. Therefore, we will not do those works which can inflict pain. For example, when we indulge in anger, we lose happiness. Neurons of our minds get heated. Therefore, the minds get vibrated. The blood pressure starts to increase. The breath starts swelling. Then why do we indulge in anger? Whatever the condition is, be calm. Fighting, laziness and jealously create repentance among the people. Do meditation, pranayam, asana and exercise to keep the body healthy.
In the third meaning, concentrate on a particular thing. The question arises that at which point we can meditate? It means that we concentrate whatever work we do, wherever we do. For example if we study, concentrate on it instead of taste of food or time or quantity. If we offer prayer, then concentrate only on it instead of worldly articles, persons, condition etc. If we are talking with relatives or friends, then be present wholeheartedly. Avoid other things arising in the minds.
For this, we have to reform our exercises. When someone asked Bokoju that ‘what do you do after getting enlightenment? When will you do meditation? Let’s make it clear about it.’
Bokoju said, “When I feel rest, I sleep. When I feel hungry, I take food. When I feel thirsty, I drink water. After attaining enlightenment, I practising it."
He said, “Then when do you do meditation? Whatever you said, is a great thing. All the people eat while feeling hungry. All the people go to bed while feeling rest. All the people drink water while feeling thirsty. Then what’s your specialisation? When do you do meditation?”
Bokoju said, “How many people who only eat while taking food, eat in thoughtlessness state, eat while feeling hungry and drink while feeling thirsty?”
Since those whose habit is to postpone the work come under workload. The remaining works remind them. It makes it clear that only closing eye is not meditation. We do meditation while doing any work. Do meditation in sitting position is quite difficult, in contrary, if we concentrate on our work, then it will be helpful in attaining meditation.
Therefore, practising meditation wholeheartedly brings bliss, divinity, peace in the life.

Terming abhyudaya and nishshreyas as necessary, deepotsav has been celebrated as shardiya navsasyeshti since time immemorial in the vedic culture. Shardiya navasasyeshti means a vast yagya.

Shardiya and navasasyeshti emanate from Sanskrit in which shardiya means nav (new), sasya means crop, ishti means yagya are included in autumn season. Here, navinam cha tat sasyam-navsasyam is samadhikaran samas in the word nav and sasya, which means naya dhan ya new crop, then navasasya and navasasyena ishtih-navsasyesthih is third samas in ishti which means yagya from new crop.

According to vedic culture, crops in autumn season is offered in yagya, then it’s used. The yagya performed through new paddy aahuti is called shardiya navasasyeshti. All of our traditional festivals whether it’s shardiya navsasyeshti (Deepawali), or phalguni navsasyeshti (Holi) or shravani upakarma (rakshabandhan) are celebrated with yagya rituals in which the nature is directly related to. The basis of vedic culture are yoga and yagya and the yagya is extolled in the Gita (3.13) as following-

Yagshishtashinah santo muchyante sarvakilivshaih I
Bhunjate te tvagham papa ye pachantyatkaranat II

It means that remaining of yajan should be used to get rid of all the sins.

Asato ma sadagamaya, tamaso ma jyotirgamay, mrityotma amritam gamaya I Defining this message, the Deepawali also gives many sutras. It provides infinite energy and encourages to eradicate falseness. It also wipes out darkness in our life.

Truly, the intention of renunciation, donation gets bolstered through yagya. It means that the yagya is vital for the Indian festivals and gives message of sarve bhavantu sukhinah.

Many incidents have been linked to Deepawali for example- Lord Rama’s Ayodhya arrival, enlightment of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Lord Mahavira. Deepawali is also celebrated as bandi chhor divas in Sikh religion. Historically, the importance of this day gets increased due to incidents.

Deepawali is a festival of many days. First of all, Dhanteras means Dhanvantari Triyodashi is celebrated. According to vedic culture, Dhanteras symbolises health. On this day, Lord Dhanvantari is revered for health. Dhanvantari is considered as god of Ayurveda. Presently, purchasing jewelleries and utensils is known on Dhanteras. The people believe that it brings prosperity. Some traders sell items on inflated rates.

The next day of Dhanteras is celebrated as narakchaturdashi or small Deepawali in which the houses are cleaned and the very next day shardiya navasasyeshti is celebrated on the amavasya of Kartik month.

But irregularity emerged in this festival with passage of time. The pollution, superstition and addiction became the part of this festival. Economy and environment get affected during Dashahara and Deepawali. The people suffer from respiratory disease and allergy. The many people are seen indulging in betting during Deepawali. It’s prohibited in vedic culture. ‘Akshairma Deevya’ means don’t do betting. There is no place of wine, betting and firing crackers in our festivals. The so-called educated people are practising it. According to our vedic culture, Udyanam te purush navyanam- means oh human beings! Arise, you have come here to arise. Therefore, ponder over it and avoid detrimental path and go ahead on development path.

Today, there are many deformities in our festivals. There is a need to know reality of every festival. It’s our duty to celebrate the festival as per vedic tradition.

Patanjali doing big task of environment safety:

Patanjali Yogapeeth is doing tremendous effort in environment protection. Every year on the occasion of Deepawali, the lakhs of patanjali volunteers promise to avoid cracker firing and make aware of their children about it. Not only human beings but entire universe gets directly affected with the pollution. The children either avoid purchasing crackers or fires small crackers to save environment.

Patanjali is doing this work for environment safety. Apart from that, thousands of yoga teachers, yoga canvasser and indigenous canvasser encourage people to perform yagya. All the family linked with patanjali not only celebrate eco-friendly Deepawali but also purify the atmosphere. Come and celebrate eco-friendly Deepawali. Buy indigenous soil lamp, ghee, oil and make the farmers and labourers prosper. Contribute in nation building by purchasing indigenous items and avoiding foreign ones.

We should follow the Vedas in making India strong in fields of strategic, spiritualism, economy and politics. By doing this, we will realise the dream of Sarve bhavantu sukhinah sarve santu niramayah sarve bhadrani pashyantu ma kashchid dukhbhag bhavet.
