To understand the history of India, we can never understand it from the distorted history of India. For a long period, we were divided into Aryans, Aryans and Darwinians etc. This is a very interesting thing. If we talk about the South, who were the Murugas? Who was Kartikeya? They were the sons of Lord Shiva, so who ruled the South? Then how did you people become separate? Some people say that the Aryans came from outside, which means that we distanced ourselves from them. In the castes, tribes or different sections of society that have been determined, it is said that some have come from outside and some are from inside, so that they keep fighting among themselves. This propaganda was done with so much planning that we cannot understand it with our common sense. They will cleverly present their point in such a way that you will feel that this is correct.

The Varna system should be based on Karma
Patanjali is not in favour of determining caste by birth and in our culture there is no caste system by birth. In our culture, Karma is considered to be the most important. It is written in our scriptures that- Janmana Jayte Shudra: Karmana Dwij Uchyate. That is, at the time of birth we are born the same and all are Shudras by birth and on the basis of Karma we become Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya or Shudra. On this basis, earlier the Varna system was based on Karma which got distorted under the influence of time and became based on birth.
We have to make this system based on Karma again. We had the Varna system to create tradition. The Varna system got distorted due to which we got divided into castes. As a result, foreign invaders came near us. First they divided us, then wanted to impose other foreign and imported religions on us.

We are not religion, we are from religion
This country is unfortunate that we were first taught the 'Aryan in Vision Theory'. We are not talking about political allegiance but our cultural allegiance, spiritual allegiance, religious allegiance should never be broken. It should be unbroken. There is no difference, no distinction in it, we have been taught that Dharma Rakshati Rakshita. We have to keep in mind that we are not religion, we are from religion. We cannot protect religion, but religion protects us. That is why we have to work for religion. Without religion we are not protected, not safe. We are not working to protect religion, but if religion does not survive, we cannot survive either. So what should we do, so that religion is saved? When we were taught the 'Aryan in Vision Theory', we were told that those who came from outside were invaders, they came to loot. We should try to know the truth.

If we talk about the 15 to 20 thousand years from Lord Rama to the period of Mahabharata, then people say about the history of India that we have information about 5 thousand kings. But we have information about 7.5 thousand kings. Which king was at which place among those 7.5 thousand kings, because at one time there were many kings, there were kings in all four directions, east, west, north and south. From the sea to the Himalayas, which was our entire land, which king came when and where was he the king, we are working in such depth right now. Very soon the time will come when we will show the glorious history of India to the whole world.

We are all descendants of the same ancestor
On a very large scale, DNA of a large group was studied to study their ancestors. You will be surprised to know that the DNA of all the castes and tribes in the east, west and south was found to be the same. So then the difference ended. Then how did those who came from outside become different? We do not have to get into any controversy but we should keep trying to know our history, the truth.

We will present the real history of the country to the world
By pointing out the errors in history, it was so refined that everything got messed up. If we look at it on the basis of old documents, the situation is even worse. A big task of writing history is being done under the aegis of Patanjali. Under the leadership of revered Swami Ji, we are going to present all this truth before the whole world very soon.
We feel pained that conspirators are engaged in dividing our country and we are sleeping. We have to wake up. We have archaeological evidence and complete proofs of 14-15 to 16 thousand years. There is complete documentation of history and culture. Although we say that we are millions of years old, but we talk about 14-15 thousand years ago. We have the genealogy and history of 7 thousand kings. Who will tell that thing? Who will take that thing to the world? So much distortion was deliberately created in our literature, in our scriptures that we too got entangled in it. Some say that this is a myth, this is a myth, this is Brahmin religion, this is the tradition of Brahmins. Who created this? Some of it was created by our ignorance and some by the conspiracy of others.

Our Varna system is based on karma
We had a Varna system based on the division of work. According to that it was not certain that the son of a Brahmin would become a Brahmin or the son of a Shudra would become a Shudra, that is, different works were divided according to one's ability. With time, some distortions arose in this system and later it was said that Stree Shudronadiyatam i.e. women and people of lower castes were prohibited from studying. Our entire history is full of stories of sages and saints, whether it is Maharishi Valmiki, Maharishi Vishwamitra or Maharishi Jawal, all of them became revered by their deeds. Even today we worship Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram and Yogeshwar Shri Krishna. They were also born in the Kshatriya clan.
In Patanjali, along with women, all religions and castes have equal rights. In Patanjali Gurukulam and Patanjali Sanyasashram, women and Shudras are equally taught Vedas, Puranas, Grammar, Shrimad Bhagwad Gita etc.

Varna system distorted during Mughal period
These discriminations would not be seen anywhere in ancient times. These things started after the arrival of Mughals. Killing lakhs of people every day, cutting off our Yagyopavit and Shikha had become common during Mughal rule. Many people even changed their religion to save their lives. Many people left their place. Such distortions have been going on since then. The responsibility of correcting the distortions of society also lies with us.

Our culture is for the entire humanity
We have never asked which organization you are associated with? What is your religion? What is your caste? We have many Muslim brothers and people of different religions and castes here, they all sit together, eat together. For us, humanity and human religion are paramount. So a natural question can be asked from us that why do you talk about Sanatan and Vedic tradition? We say this because human values are talked about only in Sanatan. Nowhere in the scriptures of Sanatan Dharma, Vedas, Upanishads, Darshan, there is any distinction made between humans. It is our culture that we wake up every morning and pray that Sarve Bhavantu Sukhni. Survey Santu Niramaya:. Survey Bhadrani Pashyantu. Ma Kashchit Dukha Bhagbhavet. Not only humans but also animals, birds etc. all come into the survey building. Do these things exist anywhere else?

Inspiration of humanity in Sanatan
Some people in the society say that if you do not become a Christian, you will not get the fifth heaven. If you do not become a Muslim, you will not go to seventh heaven. But it is said here that Manurbhava Janaya Daivyam Janam (Rigveda 10.53.6), that is, if you do not become a human being, you will die. That means we teach you to become a human being. They teach you to be strictly religious. This is the difference between us and others. We have to convey to people that our beliefs are not going to hurt anyone. If there is any kind of distortion in the name of religion, then we will take the responsibility of removing that distortion. A very good example of this is Patanjali Yogpeeth. We do not know completely when the distortions started in our Sanatan? When was its time? Or who started it or did it? But we know that many great men did the work of removing it. But those who are heretics try to defame religion by making the distortion of religion as a basis. We should try to understand the pure form of religion. This will pave the way for pure knowledge, pure deeds, pure worship. This is what Patanjali Yogpeeth teaches. We have told you what is life, what is religion, what is true religion, what is the secret of life and what is the purpose of life. Our favorableness in life, positive thinking etc. are all due to the grace of God. All these are described in our scriptures. Ayurveda is also a scripture, astrology is also a scripture, Vastu is also a scripture and all scriptures are for creation. Scriptures are not meant to mislead. Ayurveda makes you aware, Ayurveda makes you do a detailed and deep analysis of your doshas, makes you aware of the state of vata-pitta-kapha and also teaches how to live life with awareness and consciousness. The first task of Ayurveda is to not let a person who is not sick fall sick. No medical system in the world teaches us how you will fall sick, if you fall sick then how you will recover. They say that if you fall sick then maintain yourself.

Work for society, nation and yoga-ayurveda
The great man, the sage who, while facing all the challenges, told the world for the first time that yoga is a complete medical science in itself, is revered Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj. Patanjali Yogpeeth is the only institute which is giving you life and also teaching you the knowledge of how you can give life to others. Therefore, live in our traditions, behave according to our traditions, think about the welfare of everyone, but never go against religion. We should never get confused. We have to continuously move forward with our 100% capability for the society, nation and Yoga-Ayurveda.

1. Pranic energy
The body and the universe are a powerful conglomeration of tangible and intangible energies. Physics also believes that matter and energy are the two basic components. In each cell of the body and in each molecule and atom of the universe, 1 lakh to 5 lakh chemical activities take place every moment. When Pranayam is done, these activities increase 10 to 100 times in proportion to the time and the body transforms into a divine energy body. This is what is said in Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta-

Divi Surya Sahasrasya Bhavedyugaduthita.
If Bha: Sadrishi Sa Syadbhasastasya Mahatmanah.
                                                                                            (Bhagavadgita- 11.12)

Therefore, Pranayam awakens and transforms the energy inherent in the body in a positive direction, makes a person healthy and increases his ability infinitely. That is why it is said in the scriptures -
Na Yogat Param Balam- (Gherand Samhita)
On this principle, our revered Gurudev experimented on himself and millions of people of the society. He has freed us from common diseases as well as deadly diseases like Vata-Pitta Kapha Tridosha and cancer, for which Patanjali Institute has scientific proof.
The secret of rejuvenation is- 'Prana'. Wrong diet leads to loss of body power and wrong thoughts lead to loss of mind power. Body and mind become poisonous through anger, worry etc. It is possible to detox them and make your entire existence healthy, happy, peaceful and full of auto-suggestions only through Pranayam.
Basically, the description of Prana Vidya in Vedas is as follows-

Aa Vaat Vaahi Bheshajan Vi Vaat Vaahi Yadrapah.
This is the world disguised as the angel of the gods.
(Rigveda-10.137.3)

Prana is a medicine, meaning oxygen is a medicine. It is not only a medicine, it is a complete medicine. This 'prana' is the carrier of all the divinities of the universe. Prana is a holistic treatment, the basis of prana is complete health. Along with physical changes, the emotional changes that come in the body through prana have very authentic and scientific evidence in our scriptural tradition.
There is a story in Brahmin texts and Puranas that Ashwini Kumars made the decrepit Chyavan Rishi young again. These Ashwini Kumars are none other than Prana-Apan. The advice given by Yamacharya to Nachiketa in Kathopanishad is Prana Vidya. Pranayam is an eternal Divine Therapy.

“Prana evamrita asu: shariram matryam.”
(S.10.1.4.1)

That is, it is only through Prana that we can make ourselves immortal. It is this Vital Force that works day and night without rest from the mother's womb till death. In Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, in the court of Videha Janaka, Vidgadh Shakalya asked Yagyavalkya about the gods, then he described 3003, 33, 6, 2 and 1 god respectively and said that Prana is the main god.
“Katam ako dev iti”? Prana etc.

Sa Brahma tadityachakshate. (Major- 303, 9.9)

Prana itself sits in the centre of everyone (in the heart or womb) in the form of Prajapati and appears in various forms. In Prashnopanishad, Piplad Rishi sings the glory of Prana and says-

Ashtangyoga has four external parts and three internal parts and Prana acts as a bridge between these two.
Pranayam destroys both our gross and subtle diseases, sorrows and defects and makes us endowed with gross and subtle divine and sacred powers.
It is important to understand how the kidney works because without it, toxic substances start accumulating in the body. The structural units of the kidney are called Nephrons. The proximal tubules present in them reabsorb important elements like glucose, water and amino acids and make them available to the body.
But when any medicine or toxic substance has a bad effect on the kidney, this functioning gets disturbed and the level of toxic elements in the body increases.

Nowadays, allopathic medicines are being used a lot. Their excessive and long-term consumption gives rise to many serious problems. Kidney failure is also one of them. Vancomycin is an antibiotic that is given to treat antibiotic-resistant bacteria, MRSA. However, long-term use of this drug can cause serious damage to the kidney.

Research shows that in 5-35% of cases, the ability of the kidney to function decreases due to vancomycin. Due to this, the patient has to stay in the hospital for a longer time for treatment, his cost of medicines and treatment also increases and the risk of death also increases. Kidney damage due to vancomycin is mainly due to three reasons -
● First, it increases reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body, which damages the kidney cells.
● Second, it causes inflammation around the kidney tubules, which is called acute interstitial nephritis.
● Third, due to inflammation and oxidative stress, kidney cells start getting destroyed, due to which the kidney is unable to function properly.

Symptoms of kidney disease

It is very important to understand the symptoms of kidney failure so that it can be treated in time. Decreased urination, swelling in the feet and ankles, and weakness or confusion are its main symptoms. If these symptoms are ignored, the condition can become serious.

Patanjali's medicine Renogrit made from deep research for the treatment of kidney diseases
Keeping in mind the side effects of allopathic medicines, Patanjali Research Institute has made the Ayurvedic medicine Renogrit. It is a medicine made according to the Ayurvedic method with natural herbs like Apamarg, Kasani, Pashanbhed, Palash, Varun, Punarnava Mool and Gokhru, which helps in curing kidney and urinary system diseases.
Chemical analysis revealed that it contains components like gallic acid, bergenin, methyl gallate, quercetin, boiravinoneB, butyrin, monospermoside and butin, which are beneficial for the kidney.
Two separate tests were conducted by Patanjali Research Institute through modern techniques to confirm the effectiveness of Renogrit.
The organs of our body are three-dimensional. For the first study, three-dimensional structures (spheroids) made of proximal tubular cells of human kidney were developed and vancomycin was induced in them.
Subsequently, Renogrit was used on these three-dimensional structures for 'in-vitro' testing, in which this medicine reduced the markers of kidney damage.

What is the nature of the desire to attain the knowledge of the Gita?

Prof. Rameshwar Mishra Pankaj

What is the relation of the speaker with the subject, purpose and authority? So this relation is that those who want to acquire knowledge, want to get knowledge and want to make others strong through that knowledge, then this is what they have achieved. This is the four anubandhas: what is the subject, what is the purpose, who is the authority and what is the relation of this work, this karma with the subject, purpose and authority? It is necessary to know this first.
What is my relation with this discussion? The relation is that I have been studying Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta from a very young age, due to the sanskars of previous births. At a very young age, I had memorized all 700 verses. Then, in my life, while performing my dharma as per my capacity and understanding, while performing my duties, I have also been meditating on this knowledge. However, I did not speak or write on this because I always felt whether it is right to speak or write or not. Because there are many knowledgeable people, many saints, many great devotees. I keep listening to them. We all should listen to them. He is a great scholar. There are dozens of great saints including Param Pujya Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj, Param Pujya Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj. Read and listen to them.
But now I felt that there are some things that I can tell useful things to those who are not very knowledgeable and not even very accomplished devotees but who are still in between. This is a small service. A small ritual. A small task. I am doing it. This is not a claim of any kind that I am the ultimate authority on the Gita or that I have the most knowledge of the Gita. Not at all.
So we will discuss and discuss together in a way. By spending a little more time in this, by meditating on it, by thinking about it, I can help the readers. That is why I have started this series, and whoever wants more knowledge, then there are many great men including Pujya Swami Ji in India who are giving knowledge on the Gita, one should go to them. We can inspire you to go to them, this is its significance. So this is an effort to give information about the Gita to those people who are not very high level devotees and not even high level scholars but are a little like us or are one or two classes below us. This is the connection of this article with the subject.

Vishwa-Mimamsa, Atma-Mimamsa, Brahma-Mimamsa

There are two or three things in this. Vishwa Gyan, Atma Gyan and Brahma Gyan. We will discuss how all three have been presented in the Gita. The traditional style is to pick up one shloka from the beginning and then explain their meaning. That will not be done. If you yourself are very curious to know according to the Gita, according to the shloka, then you should memorize the shloka of the Gita and I will also request those who are listening to me that at a very young age, as far as possible, if the child is intelligent and has a good memory, then he should be made to memorize the Gita. There are many benefits of this. He will not know the meaning. For example, when we memorize Ashtadhyayi, initially we don't know its meaning. We listen to it from the Guru. We practice it again and again. Then we gain knowledge of grammar. I cannot claim till date that I know complete grammar because I did not spend enough time systematically. So I always ask even those who are brahmacharis, "Brother, what is the root of this word? How can it be proved that it is formed from this? Please tell me." Because many new words come up, I have not spent that much time. But still one must memorize. Ashtadhyayi must be memorized, if you are interested then you must memorize all the sutras of Yoga Darshan and even if you do nothing else, memorizing 700 verses of Gita is not difficult and it has many benefits. There are many friends who came in contact with me after they had attained a mature age like me and because patriotism was my strongest desire, aspiration, so according to my understanding, I kept thinking, reading and writing more about the country: I kept reading more about history and political science etc. So many said that brother, you are never seen reading this. You have not read the Gita. There are many people who say that you are not seen reading the Gita and the Upanishads in 25 years. But when you speak, you speak shlokas, chant mantras, so where did it come from? So it came from what you had memorized well in childhood again and again. Therefore, memorizing 700 shlokas is not a difficult thing and every person should memorize it. At least your children should be made to memorize it in their adolescence itself. I too had memorized everything by the age of 11, Ashtadhyayi and also 700 shlokas of the Gita. This should be done. Even if you have not done it, you can definitely join this discussion. But there are lots of benefits in memorizing things, that is why many people used to memorize things earlier.
Now it is probably not like that, otherwise earlier there was an environment around that if he reads the Gita, he will become a sanyasi. My parents were also very afraid because father and mother used to read Ramcharit Manas a lot, they also sang it but they had not read the Gita. They only listened to it. Sometimes they also had this fear. The people of the locality also said that he will become a sanyasi. But it is a matter of luck that they did not stop me and then I did not become a sanyasi. By the way, do not think that it does not have any effect. The Gita has an effect and at one time a strong desire to become a sanyasi was also awakened in my mind. The date of initiation was also fixed. But then I met a Siddha Purusha and he said that you still have Rajoguna and looking at my forehead he said that you still have the signs of being a householder. You are going to become a householder later on. At that time I was very young so he said that you will live a householder's life. After that you can take sanyasi or not as per your wish. You will live like a sanyasi. But first you will have to go into a householder's life. So because I had a lot of respect for him, I agreed. So even after the date of initiation was fixed, I did not take sanyas and he was proved right. But sanyas is not such a reprehensible thing that if your child reads the Gita and takes sanyas at a young age, it will be auspicious. 'Dhany Janm Jagati Tal Tasu' The life of the one who follows the religion propounded by Lord Rama is blessed, isn't it? And it is also said:- 'Dhany Janm Jagati Tal Soi. Raghupati Bhagat Jaasu Sut Hoi.' If the son is a devotee of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Krishna, starts reading the Gita, starts reading the Ramayana, gets lost in it, then not only the life of that child is blessed but the life of his parents is also blessed. So don't be afraid.
By the way, there are one or two in millions who become sanyasis just by reading like this. The Gita is also important because it is the essence of all the scriptures. Studying all the scriptures is only for those who have values, environment and inspiration in their lives. But if every follower of Sanatan Dharma wants to know them in essence, which is a must, then he must read the Gita. So, that is why we all should acquire the knowledge of the Gita and then it is not achieved by just reading it or knowing its general meaning, but by listening to it again and again from the mouth of the Guru or scholars, from the mouth of many saints and mahatmas and then meditating on it. Then it gradually becomes strong. Why does it take time? Even if we listen to anything, why does the mind not remain stable on it? The answer to this is also in the Gita. Today, let us tell you only one thing in the form of the introduction that generally the doubts that Arjun raises, what will happen, everyone will die and then the clan will be polluted and we will all go to hell and how much stigma will we bear -

Aho vat mahatpapan kartun vyavasita vayam.
Yad rajyasukh-lobhen hantum svajanam udyata:. (1/45)

All the doubts Arjuna raises, God refute them all. He refute them right from the beginning - 'Ashochyananvashochastvam prajnavaadaamashcha bhaashase.' (2/11)
'Hey, why are you showing off your scholarship, showing off your wisdom, and you are thinking, contemplating and worrying about such things which are not worth thinking about. Then you are a fool. In a way, he said. Or he said: 'Klaivyam maasm gamah Parth' - Hey Parth, do not get into klaivya. Klaivya means shrinking. People take it to mean sexual matters. Whereas its real meaning is to shrink. Not blossoming completely. To shrink. So God says to Arjun:- Your mind has shrunk. You are becoming detached. Who is detached? One whose mind has been extinguished. One whose mind has shrunk. So, in the matter in which your mind has shrunk, you are detached, impotent. For us it is not only related to sex. Whatever subject you are not proficient in. Many people in politics are impotent. By being in politics you got big positions and still if you do not do anything then they will say- 'Hey, you are impotent, you are an impotent politician.' It has nothing to do with sex life. You have come to power and the use of power that you had declared was that we will serve the country, we will serve the society, we will protect the country, we will protect the borders, we will do the welfare of the people, we will maintain the religious dignity in the society, we will maintain law and order, whatever you pledge, when you do not do it then the religious people say - 'You are impotent. Impotent in this matter. You are impotent in the subject you had claimed.'
So God says:- Hey, you had come here to fight, right? You had come as a brave man, right? You did not come as a coward in the battlefield. So after coming here your heart is shrinking. O Parth, do not fall into the trap. Fight with open heart. How to fight? He further describes:- Do not fall into the trap. Do not shrink. Do not do so many calculations. He thinks that he is my maternal grandfather, he is my grandfather, he is my father, he is my uncle, he is my brother, he is my so and so, he will die. Shrinking the mind after doing so many calculations, this is the trap. Most of the leaders are cleaved in this sense. They do not protect the religion. They remain busy in the calculations of power, so from the viewpoint of religion they are cleaved.
The main thing is that whatever doubts Arjun raises, it will not happen this way, it will not happen that way, if I am not able to follow this tomorrow, will I not be destroyed? Will I not be torn to pieces? I will neither be here nor there.
Bhagwan tells all of them that no, no. ‘Na hi kalyankrit kashchid durgati taat gacchati.’ (6/40) No step taken on the path of welfare is futile. He resolves all. Whatever doubt Arjuna raises, whether it is about the killing of his father, uncle, paternal uncle, brother, making his sister-in-law and aunt a widow or killing of brothers, the sins incurred due to killing of father, uncle, grandfather etc., the sins incurred due to that, the sins incurred due to snatching the kingdom from brothers, what if I stray from yoga? What if I am destroyed? ‘Kacchinno bhaavyavibhrashtashchinna bewhita nashayati.’ (6/38) What if this happens. So Lord Krishna refutes all these. No, no-no, it is not like that. Somewhere he says that you should not be disgraced. Do not think about the unbecoming. Do not show off too much scholarship and wisdom. You are a fool and you are showing off wisdom. He is talking about being a Pandit. He says everything. He refutes everything. Arjun has just one doubt, which God accepts and says that yes, your doubt is correct.
What is that? When he says that -

‘Yoyaam Yoga: Tvaya Prokta: Samyen Madhusudan.
Atsyahan na pashyaami chanchalatvaat sthitiam sthiram.’ (6/33)

O Lord, I do not think I will be able to remain stable in the yoga you have told me. Chanchalam hi: man: Krishna. O Krishna, the mind is fickle. So this is a doubt which Lord Krishna immediately accepts.

‘Asamshayam mahabaho mano durnigraham chalam.’ (6/35)

Lord Krishna immediately accepts that yes, the mind of a person is fickle. There is only one thing, only one doubt of Arjuna to which he says that yes, your doubt is correct.

Lord Krishna says – ‘Asamshayam mahabaho mano durnigraham chalam.’

Oh Mahabahu, there is no doubt. There is no doubt that this mind is very difficult to control and it is fickle.
So whatever we hear, whatever scriptures we hear, it should remain stable in our mind, for this, control of the mind is necessary, isn’t it? Arjuna also said the same, isn’t it?

‘Chanchalam hi man: Krishna, pramathi balvad dridham.’ (6/34)

O Madhusudan, this mind is fickle by nature, it keeps churning the mind, it is very strong and it is firm in this tendency, it remains engaged in this tendency. Like lust, it is fast, powerful, very strong and firm. So God also says - Asanshayam Mahabaho, Mano Durnigraham Chalam''.
So how can the mind be made capable of fixing the knowledge of the scriptures in the mind. Then it becomes eligible to accept the knowledge of the scriptures, practice the knowledge of the scriptures. Fix it in the mind in such a way that it bears fruit in our actions. That is, the scriptures become a part of our sanskaar. It becomes fixed in our memory.
Every memory gives birth to some desires and every desire ultimately gives birth to some memories. Therefore, in yoga sadhana, memory is also controlled and desires are controlled. Every memory results in some desire or the other. Whatever you remember, there will be some desire from it somewhere, right? If you remember the sweets, then you will think, let's eat it some day, it is a very good sweet. Or that they had prepared very good food. Every memory gives birth to some aspiration. Our ancestors were such brave people, this memory will give us a feeling of bravery. We should also become brave. That is why those who are evil or those who are slaves of the evil people in India at this time, there are many people who call themselves Hindutva loyalists etc. who are actually slaves of the intelligence of those evil people. Due to stupidity, due to ignorance, those who want to destroy you, those who want to destroy Sanatan Dharma and the Hindu nation, the people who are slaves of them have the most arrogance that we will strengthen the Hindu nation and we are living for the Hindu nation. But when that memory is corrupted, they keep on saying that we have always been slaves, oh what are we? Our ancestors were like this, we did not do even this, we did not do even that. Guilt is the feeling of slavery. When you have a feeling of inferiority, guilt, then what good will you do for the society? You will become a psychopath. So there are people whose memory is corrupted. If your memory is corrupted, if your memory leads to depression or guilt, if your memory is such that you have guilt towards yourself, your ancestors, your nation, your religion, you are dejected, your mind is shrunken, now it is not even dejected, it is distorted, you have projected something on yourself that did not even happen. Your enemy said that you were defeated badly by the Muslims. You also memorized it:- Yes, yes, what can we say, Muslims are very mean, they have been killing us.
Hey brother, when did they kill? Did they kill your father? Did they kill your father's father? Who did they kill? Who are you talking about? Here there are many accounts of kings, of all Rajput kings. Keep reading accounts of the Marathas. There are accounts of bravery. Yes, it is correct to say that the enemy was very mean, sinful, evil, a demon, we set him right like this. Even after suffering so and so. They killed our son. They killed everyone. Even then we remained steadfast on religion. So our ancestors, brave ancestors, their memory is like this. It is just one incident. They remember his injustice, his misdeeds but with their bravery that he was so unjust, we defeated him, we crushed him, we controlled him. This is the means of memory.
If you did not do it then what do you keep saying? This is such a country for 2000 years, some foolish people say that the country was a slave for 2000 years. Your father must have been a slave. Your ancestors must have been slaves. There has been only prosperity here. India is the largest warrior society in the world. What all do you say about it.
If your memory is corrupted then what will happen? You will not even have aspirations. One whose memory is corrupted, whose memory leads to depression, whose memory about the country is such that it depresses his mind, then he will not do anything. ‘Gandivam srasate hastaat tvakchaiva paridahyate.’ (1/30) Gandiva is slipping from the hand, the skin is burning with worry. What is the condition before that:- ‘Sidanti mam gaatraani, mukham cha parishushyati.’ The body is getting weak and the mouth is getting dry.
If Arjuna is in such a state that he started sweating, his body started trembling and Gandiva started slipping from his hand. Because of memory. He remembered that oh this will happen, oh that will happen. Then if you have such memory about the country that makes you feel that everything is darkness, then you are of no use. You are a psychopath. You are of no use to the country. You are not stronger than Arjuna, are you? When Arjuna himself started trembling, when Arjuna’s Gandiva slipped, when Arjuna’s body started burning, then you will have burning for the rest of your life. If you develop remorse for India, then your mind will be jealous throughout your life, your intellect will remain frustrated, you will remain indifferent. So how to cultivate memory? For this, stability of mind is essential. ‘Vyavasayatmikaa buddhi: Ekeh kuru nandan’. Concentration. How should be the concentration of intellect? How should be the concentration of mind? We will discuss this in the next issue.

Thyroid is a common disease which is spreading rapidly at present. Its main reason is unhealthy eating habits and stressful lifestyle. This creates a situation of hormonal imbalance, which is a big problem. Due to the stress caused by this, lack of iodine in the body, viral infection etc., various types of problems arise in women. Thyroid is one of them. In medical terms, when there is an imbalance in the level of thyroid hormone i.e. triiodothyronine or thyroxine, it is called thyroid. It shows the same effect in both men and women but it is a common disease in women as compared to men.
According to Ayurveda, thyroid occurs due to imbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. When there is Vata and Kapha dosha in the body, then the person gets thyroid. Vata and Kapha doshas are balanced by Ayurvedic treatment. The good thing is that thyroid can also be cured with home remedies.
The thyroid gland is also called Aatu gland. It is one of the largest endocrine glands found in the human body.
This biconvex structure is located in our throat below the larynx at almost the same level as the Cricoid Cartilage. The thyroid gland has a special contribution in the metabolism of the body. This gland secretes hormones called Tri–iodothyronin (T3) and Thyrocalcitonin. These hormones affect the metabolic rate of the body and other development mechanisms. Thyroid hormone controls the speed of all the processes of our body. It has two types-
1) Hyperactivity of the thyroid gland - Hyperthyroid (Hypothyrodism)
2) Hypoactivity of the thyroid gland - Hypothyroid (Hypothyrodism)

In case of hyperthyroidism, thyroid hormone is produced in large quantities and in hypothyroidism, the production of hormone is less. Whenever the balance of hormones in our body deteriorates, there is a lot of fluctuation in our body weight. Due to which thyroid problem arises.

What is the scale of thyroid?

The normal range of thyroid is the same in men and women. The normal range for both is between 0.4 mU/L to 4.0 mU/L. The only difference in the normal range is age. In people between 18 and 50 years, the thyroid level is around 0.5 - 4.1 mU/L. On the other hand, in people between 51-70 years, this level is around 0.5 to 4.5 mU/L.
In conditions such as history of pituitary gland disease, history of thyroid cancer, pregnancy and old age, TSH is placed in a different category as directed by an endocrinologist.
Hyperactivity of the thyroid gland
(Hyperthyrodism)
Due to hyperthyroidism, T4 and T3 hormones start getting produced more than required, due to which the body starts using more energy. This is called hyperthyroidism. Due to excess thyroid hormone, metabolism increases in the body and everything starts happening faster.
● Thinning and hair loss.
● Insomnia
● Anxiety
● Irritability
● Excessive sweating
● Trembling of hands
● Weakness and pain in muscles
● Increased heart rate
● Weight loss
● Irregularity of menstruation in women
● This causes osteoporosis, due to which calcium in the bones is rapidly depleted.

hypoactivity of the thyroid gland

(Hypothyroidism)
Hypothyroidism occurs due to hypoactivity of the thyroid. Its common symptoms are as follows:
● Depression
● Always feeling tired.
● Slow heart rate.
● Constipation
● Swelling in the face and eyes.
● Frequently forgetting.
● Being more sensitive to cold.
● Weight gain due to slow metabolism.
● Thinning and breakage of nails.
● Dryness and itching of the skin.
● Joint pain and stiffness in muscles.
● Excessive hair fall.
● Being confused, unable to think and understand.
● Negative thoughts coming to mind.
● Irregularity in menstruation.
● Increased cholesterol level in the blood.
● Infertility can occur in women due to this.

Causes of thyroid
● Living a very stressful life affects the activity of thyroid hormone.
● Thyroid glands are particularly affected by low or high iodine levels in the diet.
● This disease can also be genetic. If a family member has this problem, then other members can also have this problem.
● Imbalance in thyroid hormones is seen during pregnancy in women, because at this time many hormonal changes occur in the body of women.
● Due to excessive use of soy products in food.
● Hashimoto's disease makes one part of the thyroid gland inactive.
● Thyroid also occurs due to inflammation in the thyroid gland. Initially, there is more production of thyroid hormone in it, and later it decreases. This causes hypothyroidism.
● Hypothyroidism occurs due to lack of iodine in the diet, so iodized salt should be used.
● Graves' disease is the main cause of hypothyroidism in adults. In this disease, the body's immune system starts producing such antibodies that increase TSH. This is a genetic disease, which runs from generation to generation.
● This disease can also be caused by goiter or thyroid disease.
● Hypothyroidism can also be caused by vitamin B12.

Side effects of thyroid in women
The thyroid gland plays a very important role in the reproductive system of women, it can have the following side effects -
● Menstruation can become abnormal due to thyroid disorders. Abnormally high or low thyroid hormone can cause light or heavy menstruation, irregular menstruation, absence of menstruation (amenorrhea).
● If a woman has underactive thyroid, then the risk of developing cysts in the ovaries increases.
● The process of releasing an egg from the ovary is called ovulation. Thyroid can affect the process of ovulation or stop it completely.
● Severe hypothyroidism can cause a stop to ovulation and breast milk production.
● Lack of thyroid hormone can also cause miscarriage, premature delivery, stillbirth (death of the baby before or during delivery), postpartum hemorrhage (postpartum bleeding).
● Women with an overactive thyroid are at a higher risk of severe morning sickness during pregnancy.
● Thyroid disorders can cause early onset of menopause.
● Some symptoms of overactive thyroid disorder can be mistaken for early menopause. These include lack of menstruation, hot flashes, insomnia, and mood swings.
● Treating hyperthyroidism can sometimes reduce symptoms of early menopause or prevent early menopause from occurring.

Treatment of thyroid in women
● Treatment of thyroid in women depends on the age of the patient and the severity of the thyroid. Treatment of thyroid includes anti-thyroid medicines, radioactive iodine treatment, levothyroxine, beta blockers and surgery.
● If all the means of treatment fail or the condition of thyroid is severe, then the doctor suggests surgery. During this procedure, the tissues that produce excess hormones are partially removed.

Home remedies for thyroid disease
● Liquorice is very useful in thyroid. The main component found in liquorice is triterpenoid glycyrrhetinic acid which prevents thyroid cancer cells from growing.
● Consuming half a teaspoon of aloe vera juice mixed with two teaspoons of basil juice cures thyroid.
● Green coriander is the most useful medicine for thyroid. Thyroid disease can be cured by using green coriander. Grind it finely and drink it daily by mixing it in water. This controls thyroid disease.
● Thyroid patients should consume iodine-rich diet. Iodine is found in abundance in onion, garlic and tomato etc.
● Coconut water is also very helpful in controlling thyroid. Thyroid patients must consume it.
● Elements called curcumin are found in turmeric, which are helpful in controlling thyroid.
● To get rid of thyroid disease, drink bottle gourd juice every morning on an empty stomach. It is an effective medicine.

Useful food items
● Take iodine-rich diet.
● Include as many fruits and vegetables in your diet as possible.
● Consume more milk and curd.
● Consume whole grains rich in protein, fiber and vitamins.
● Include calcium and vitamin-D rich foods in your diet.
● Take a low-fat diet.

Patanjali treatment for thyroid
● Patanjali has created an effective medicine 'Thyrogrit' after thorough research and testing it on the touchstone of modern scientific parameters and with complete facts. Its miraculous results have been seen on thyroid patients. Apart from this, Medhavati, Kanchnar Guggulu are also beneficial in thyroid. The use of Nari Kanti is very effective especially in women.
● It is beneficial to use Anu Tail in the form of Pratimarsh Nasya.
● Ujjayi Pranayama is very useful in thyroid.

In children, this disease spreads even faster and can occur more than three times a year. Cold and cough are usually a type of infection, which is caused by many different types of viruses present in your nose and throat. Rhinovirus is the main virus that causes it, which causes symptoms of cold and cough. However, the symptoms of cold, cough and cough caused by this infection are quite bothersome. If cold and cough last for a long time, then the person may have to face a serious problem.

Types of cough

There are mainly two types of cough:-
● Dry cough
● Cough with mucus

Other types of cough
These other types of cough are:-
● Acute cough
It lasts for a short time, and or mostly occurs due to upper respiratory tract infection. It is caused by flu or common cold.
● Chronic cough
It can last for 6-8 weeks. It is caused by allergic rhinitis, T.B. or lung cancer and lung infection.

Symptoms of cold and cough

Most people have problems like cold and cough in spring and winter seasons. However, any person can get this infection in any season of the year. The symptoms that develop with cold and cough usually start developing suddenly. A person suffering from cold and cough can spread this disease to people standing at a distance of more than 6 feet. Common symptoms of cold and cough can usually include the following -
● Sore throat
● Running nose
● Mucus accumulation in throat, nose and chest
● Dry cough
● Feeling cold
● Fatigue
● Sneezing
● Headache
● Muscle pain
● Feeling pain in joints
● Mild fever
● The risk of getting cold and cough is higher in children than adults and this disease can affect children more. Some symptoms of cold and cough are mentioned below, which are more common in children than adults -
● Nausea
● Vomiting
● Diarrhea
● Irritability
In most cases, it is not necessary to treat cold and cough, as it gets cured on its own at home with proper care. However, getting a doctor's examination after getting cold and cough can be very helpful. If you feel that the symptoms related to cold and cough are continuously getting severe, then you should contact a doctor as soon as possible because in such a case, it can also be a sign of some other disease.

Causes of cold and cough

This problem of cold and cough is usually caused by infection, the reason behind which can be many different types of viruses. These influenza viruses spread to another person when the infected person speaks, coughs or sneezes. In simple words, while sneezing, coughing and speaking, very minute droplets of liquid come out of the mouth of the infected person and start floating in the air, these droplets contain viruses that cause cold and cough. After this, when a person takes these droplets floating in the air into his body through breathing, he also gets infected. Apart from this, if these droplets of liquid settle on any surface, then you can also get infected by touching that surface and then touching the mouth, nose or eyes with the same hand.

Risk factors for cold and cough

Cold and cough can be more risky for people who are already suffering from the following diseases -
● Asthma
● COPD
● Bronchiectasis
● Cystic fibrosis
● Chronic kidney disease
● Heart disease
● Diabetes
● Severe anemia (sickle cell anemia)
● Obesity
● HIV
● Liver disorder

Diagnosis of cold and cough

Usually you do not need to go to a doctor to diagnose cold and cough. Based on the symptoms mentioned above, you can diagnose the problem of cold and cough yourself. If you are feeling the following symptoms, then you should talk to a doctor.
● Symptoms not improving or continuously increasing
● Ear pain
● Shortness of breath
● Difficulty in breathing
● Difficulty or pain in swallowing
● Wheezing
● Rash on the skin
● Severe pain with cough
● Chills and shivers
● Fever lasting for more than two days
● Headache for several days
● Lips, nails or skin turning blue
● Loss of appetite
● Feeling confused

Prevention of cold and cough

Cold and cough spread rapidly from one person to another, so it can be prevented in the following way -
● Make it a habit to wash your hands frequently with soap, use hand sanitizer if soap is not available.
● Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
● Maintain proper distance from people who are experiencing symptoms of cold and cough.
If you yourself are suffering from cold and cough, then you can follow the following rules to prevent other people from getting infected -
● Stay at home until you are completely cured.
● Do not allow sick children to go to school or play with other children.
● Do not make any physical contact with another person.
● Keep a handkerchief or tissue on your mouth while sneezing, coughing or talking.
● Clean your hands thoroughly immediately after sneezing, coughing or clearing your nose.
● Keep cleaning door knobs, toys and mobile etc. from time to time.

Shrinkage of the Nation State and the Rise of International Institutions and Bodies

Prof. Kusumlata Kedia

With the development of international institutions formed after the Second World War, the jurisdiction of sovereign nation state has been limited in many subjects and areas. International laws have been developed which apply to all nation states that sign international treaties. Such as - laws of human rights, laws related to child labour, international laws related to the movement of aircraft and ships, international laws related to women and children, international laws related to the environment and rights of civil groups etc. International laws have developed in many directions and in many subjects since the second half of the 20th century because the complexity of modern life has become multidimensional. Every society believes in certain social, economic and political values and on their basis the social system develops and the legal structure is also formed in the same way. But new international laws interfere with the sovereignty of the nation state in many subjects. In fact, international laws have developed with the idea of an international political system. An international legal system is also being developed based on this idea. Its main initiative is taken by Western European rulers like the United States of America, England and France and their intellectual dominance over other countries is also decisive.
International laws are made keeping in mind a world and society whose most important and decisive institution is the 'State' (The State). Under the dominance of the United States of America and Western European countries, such changes have been brought about at the global level in which the state has started representing the hopes and aspirations of the people. The protection of their life and property also depends on the state. That is why in international law, interference in the integrity and totality of the boundaries of another sovereign unit by a sovereign entity is prohibited. International rules have also been made not to use military force in resolving disputes. Similarly, giving equal voting rights to every nation state in the United Nations General Assembly is also a part of this process. Although many questions naturally arise regarding this process. Because there is a lot of difference in the size of nation states. Some nation states have only a few hundred citizens whereas there are countries like India and China where the number of citizens is 140 to 150 crores. The nation states of Europe have a population of around 4 to 5 crores. Whereas many nation states of West Asia and Middle East formed after the Second World War have a population of only a few lakhs. In this way, the international institutions which consider the nation state as a unit seem to be making severe discrimination in measuring the value of a human being. Because considering 100 people as one unit and even crores of people as one unit is like considering 100 people as crores of people. Therefore, the deciding factor in this legal system is the state institution, not the justice institution. Because from the point of view of justice, 100 people cannot be equal to crores of people.
Along with this, international institutions have been formed under the leadership of Western Europe and the United States of America to control world politics and they try to keep the conflicts between different states under their control. Although they do not succeed every time. Sovereign nations take decisions about war at their own level and international institutions intervene and mediate between them. International peace forces have also been created for this purpose to maintain pressure and monitor ceasefire.
International law not only controls the new states formed after the Second World War, it also interferes to a limited extent in the sovereignty of all the nation states of the world. Because many laws have not been made considering the nation state as a unit but they are also related to groups of individuals and public and private institutions. Environmental protection, international trade, human rights, international labour, world health, international institutions formed for educational and cultural fields and rules related to the use of space and world order related to communication, are such areas for which international provisions have been made which clearly interfere in the sovereignty of the nation state. In this way, the control of international rules on the sovereign nation state has increased to a significant extent.
It is worth mentioning that the Vienna Congress had decided in 1815 itself about creating a political system and a corresponding international legal system in accordance with the conditions of Europe. Since then, Western European countries and the United States of America have been making joint efforts in this direction. There are four types of schools of thought among Western European and American jurists on this subject. According to the jurists called realists, the main objective of the state in an anarchic international system is to keep itself alive and strong. For this, they use their power to the maximum to protect their power and their borders. States will agree to the international system to the extent that it protects their interests. Hence, states accept only those systems and legal norms that increase their own power and give a systematic form to their hegemony over relatively weaker states. Thus, they deliberately keep violating international rules in their own interest. Hence, international laws can be accepted only in those areas where they do not hinder the sovereignty and autonomy of the states. Thus, in fact, international laws become an object of violation. Hence, a system of implementing them forcefully and a system of punishing the violators should be considered.
Another view is that of liberalism. In international relations, liberals are of the opinion that the basis of agreement between states is determined by their domestic policies. That is why democratic governments accept international law more easily but undemocratic governments do not accept it easily. In democratic societies, civil society and administration are interested in international or multinational cooperation at many levels. That is why acceptance of international law is easy there. There is an easy environment of mutual trust between them.
Another opinion is of rational choice and game theory. Those who believe in this opinion trust more on market forces. People take rational decisions with a view to expand their choices. Therefore, the international system should be in accordance with economic principles. International law has the greatest influence and pressure on the foreign policy of states. For this, different pressure groups keep trying to increase their influence and pressure on the entire process of international law. Human rights activists, feminists, environmentalists and pacifists have organized themselves as international communities while living within their respective nation states. They work to put pressure on their nation states as well as the international legal system in their favour. In this way, many influential communities and thought groups are working to limit the sovereignty and sovereignty of nations.
It was with this view that the United Nations was established and then many world institutions like World Trade Union, World Health Organization, International Labor Court, International Court of Justice etc. have been formed. The United Nations was established after the Second World War. Its objectives are described in its manifesto. Its very first article says that "The United Nations has been established to maintain international peace and security. It has been established to try to prevent peace wherever it is threatened and to stop the aggressive party and to try to find a solution in a peaceful manner. The objective of the United Nations is to develop friendly relations between nations and to try to maintain mutual friendship on the basis of the right to equality and the principle of self-determination. Our goal is to try to solve problems through international cooperation in all areas related to economic, social, cultural human behavior. For the common interest of the nations, we will try to establish harmony among the nations for the welfare of the world.''
It is clear that these purposes are very broad and for this it is necessary to work through many institutions at many levels. According to Article 2 (7) of the Charter of the United Nations, the United Nations recognizes the independence and sovereignty of its member nations. That is why it will not generally interfere in the domestic affairs of any nation.
The United Nations has set many ideals and standards for its own and the conduct of nation states. The six main organs of the organization are the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council, the Secretariat and the International Court of Justice.

Security Council
The function of the Security Council is international peace and security. 15 nation states of the United Nations are its members. Out of these, five are its permanent members - the United States of America, the United Kingdom (Britain), Russia, China and France. They also have the right to veto. The remaining members are elected every two years. They are elected by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
In 1945, these countries were elected on the basis of political power. If 9 votes are cast in favour of a decision, then that decision will be binding. In principle, the right of veto can be given to other members at the appropriate time, but that process is very complex. The expansion of the Security Council is also under consideration.
It has three permanent committees - the Committee of Experts which makes the rules of procedure, the Committee of Administration and the Committee which convenes and arranges the meeting of the Security Council. Along with this, there are many ad hoc committees. The decisions of the Security Council are binding on all its members. Both the options of peaceful solution and forceful solution are before the Council and it has the right to both.

General Assembly
The General Assembly is the permanent body of the United Nations. Representatives of all member nation states are in this General Assembly. At present, representatives of 192 nation states are in the General Assembly. All 192 members are considered to have one vote each. Whereas there is a lot of disparity and difference among the member nation states in terms of size, population, resources etc. Apart from this, the other three major organs are associated with a particular field of work as per their name and work for the same. It is clear that all these institutions interfere with the sovereignty of nation states to a great extent and keep obstructing them at many places.

Some examples
Some examples will be useful from this point of view. In this context, it is definitely worth keeping in mind that these international institutions are not equivalent to nation states but they are governed by experts of their field. The resources for them are allocated by the nation states only.

World Health Organization
The World Health Organization was formed in 1946 AD. Its objective was initially declared to be what would be the effect of the use of nuclear weapons on public health and hence how to prevent their use. But gradually its scope kept increasing and it tries to determine or influence the direction of health and medical services in the world.

UNESCO
Similarly, UNESCO was established on 16 November 1945. The full name of UNESCO is United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It is an organization that works to promote peace and security through international cooperation in education, science, culture and communication. UNESCO's mission is to create a culture of peace, eradicate poverty, promote sustainable development and encourage inter-cultural dialogue.
Its headquarters is in Paris. It has 195 members and 8 associate members. Some notable programmes of UNESCO are as follows:-
1. Universal Copyright Convention (1952)
2. Man and Biosphere Programme (1971)
3. World Heritage Convention (1972)
4. Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003)
UNESCO also works to identify, protect and preserve cultural and natural heritage around the world. India has 43 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the ‘Mound-Burial System of the Ahom Dynasty’ in Assam, which was added in 2024.
Thus it is clear that UNESCO influences the policies and programmes related to education, culture and science of various nations. Although formally it works with the consent of the concerned nation-state, but Euro-Christian beliefs and convictions are deeply rooted in its structure itself. Therefore, the people of UNESCO have a transformative effect on a society with different culture and different beliefs, which is clearly but subtly an interference in the sovereignty of the nation-state.

In Ayurveda, following the rules of 'pathya-apathy aahar-vihaar', 'sam-visham substances' etc. for complete nutrition is considered essential for complete health. By following the method of cooking food in different ways, the time of consuming them, man can remain healthy for a long time. In the history of Indian culinary science, there is a description of the making of multi-purpose laddus by Ayurvedacharyas by mixing ghee and herbs, which was made unknowingly while making medicine. Thereafter, it started being made systematically in which jaggery, dry fruits, some herbs started being used for health benefits. With time, the trend of making different types of laddus increased in India, which are helpful in complete nutrition along with health benefits. If we look at it in today's context, we can understand that nutrition bars are also a new form of it (this is the author's personal opinion). However, the provision of 'nutrition bars' started from the western countries in the mid-twenty-first century. In 1952, York Barbells and Bob Hoffman made and sold their own soy-based protein powder high-protein cookies and bread. Joe Weider launched his candy food bar in the late 1960s. 'Energy bars' were the creation of Pillsbury Corporation, which took advantage of the popularity of the national space program by introducing space food sticks in the 1960s. Since then 'energy bars' have become a kind of their own food. In the mid-1980s, the first 'energy bar', 'power bar' was introduced for athletes, which was made from various types of nutritional elements like 'whey protein', peanuts, almonds, walnuts, soy protein, etc. Today, the business of these ‘protein bars’, ‘energy bars’ is touching new heights globally and is estimated to reach nearly US $ 2 billion by 2026. The Indian context has changed a lot during and after the COVID pandemic. During the pandemic, people turned to healthy and regular living, which increased the trend of people of all ages towards healthy and nutritious food. As a result, the demand for convenient and healthy food (snacks) options increased in the country. The consumption of these ‘energy bars’ is increasing due to increasing health awareness, active lifestyle and awareness about the benefits of consuming a complete nutritious diet in less time. The business of energy bar market in India is expected to reach US $ 20.40 million by 2029, growing at a CAGR (Compound Growth Rate) of 13.56% during the forecast period (2024-2029). During the COVID-19 pandemic, India's energy and protein bar traders started expanding their business to online channels and exporting to various countries.
A variety of nutrition bars were developed by Patanjali by accumulating the knowledge of our sages and combining some medicinal and other nutritious ingredients such as jaggery, honey, etc. Patanjali's nutrition bar category has been designed keeping in mind the nutritional needs of all age groups. Patanjali Immunity bar, Patanjali Classic herbal protein bar, Patanjali Herbal health food bar, Patanjali Energy bar with Choco chips, Patanjali Orange peel Energy bar have been brought to the global level for complete nutrition in accordance with the standards of intensive research and FSSAI (Food Saftey and Standards Authority of India). Patanjali Immunity bar mainly uses herbs rich in various medicinal properties which have been used by Ayurvedacharyas in various diseases (Table 1). Consuming nutrition bars is a favorable option for supplying instant energy, due to which its demand is also increasing. Another major reason is its disposable packaging which prevents it from touching hands directly, thus keeping both the nutrition bar and hands clean.
Table 1: Key ingredients of Patanjali Immunity Bar, their Ayurvedic medicinal uses and major plant components

( * Other traditional medicine)
Jaggery and honey have been used for sweet taste. In India, jaggery is mainly prepared from sugarcane juice, although it is also prepared from palm juice etc. Jaggery is prepared by concentrating sugarcane juice in an iron vessel. Jaggery mainly contains traces of iron and other mineral salts which come from sugarcane juice. Jaggery cleanses the lungs, stomach, intestines, esophagus and respiratory tract. People who face dust in their daily lives are highly advised to take a daily dose of jaggery. It can protect them from asthma, cough-cold, chest congestion etc. Similarly, honey has been used for centuries in India and other civilizations as a sweetener and for its medicinal properties. Honey is used to treat various diseases like stomach disorders, skin irritation and ulcers. Since ancient times, man has been using the vegetation around him for his health benefits. Apart from Ayurveda, oats, cocoa bean, peanut powder have been used in many other traditional medical systems of the world. Peanuts are a rich source of protein and apart from this, other nutrients are also found in it. Studies show that peanuts can also be useful for weight loss and can protect against heart disease. Many important compounds are also found naturally in oats, which are the subject of research by scientists and today oats are considered an excellent nutritious grain and it is used to make various types of nutritious food. Cocoa bean has been used in Patanjali Nutrition Bar for taste as per the demand of time. The origin of cocoa bean is Amazon of America. In traditional American folk medicine, cocoa is considered helpful in the treatment of flu, inflammation, high blood pressure, cough. Apart from this, raisins, dates, orange peel, corn flakes, almonds, whey protein, soy protein, gum, walnuts etc. have also been used prominently in other nutrition bars. Today scientists from all over the world are engaged in discovering the nutrients, various chemical compounds etc. found in these plants. Through these researches, our ancient Ayurveda knowledge gets further strengthened and the Indian knowledge tradition gets full recognition at the global level. Taking forward this glorious tradition of Ayurveda, Patanjali has characterized health along with taste for complete nutrition as per the new standards (FSSAI etc.) and will continue to do so in the future.

India means the land of melody and rhythm filled with emotions, India means the land of those who understand spirituality, full of emotions and feelings, India means the land of sages and saints engaged in the search of the light of knowledge, India means the land drenched in the knowledge of Vedas and Puranas, India means the land where there is an emotion or feeling behind every statement, every thought, every deed. Along with such emotions, multi-coloured diversity, rich cultural heritage and the world's oldest civilization full of spirituality, these are the characteristics of our country. If someone considers it a country with geographical boundaries of only 28 states and 8 union territories, then it is wrong. This country is a country with a population of 140 crores, full of diverse cultural activities, which is not only known for the richness of its demography, history, culture, costumes and language, but also always attracts everyone's attention for the uniqueness, strangeness and scientific nature of its festivals. The arrival of a new festival every few days, the reason and method of celebrating which is completely different, paints a rich picture of Indian culture. This picture is a mixture of religion, spirituality, science, nature, society, happy family, health etc.

Natural and Scientific Viewpoint

Festivals are the rituals of Indian tradition. The ways of celebrating them, their enthusiasm enhance the color of our country and enrich the culture. Along with special worship, food and fasting, sometimes we worship the Sun and sometimes the Moon. Sometimes we color everyone in our color and sometimes we light a lamp to remove darkness. On the pretext of Raksha Bandhan, we vow to protect our sister, then through Navratri we salute the women power and along with that we kill Ravana every year. The way of celebrating all these festivals is different, the ingredients are different, the time and auspicious moment is different, whether it is food or fasting, everything is not only defined but also scientifically proven. Just think sometime how these festivals were determined? What is the role of the planets and stars in these? And what is the purpose behind celebrating them for centuries? If someone says that festivals in Sanatan Dharma are only a part of a religious ceremony and are limited to some rituals of worship, then such a person will definitely be called ignorant because our festivals are not only a part of religious rituals but they are also full of many scientific and psychological facts. Although with the change of region and language, there is a slight difference in the ways of celebrating these festivals, the beauty of which is also different, despite this, the similarity in them is that all our festivals carry with them familial, social, religious and spiritual perspectives along with natural and scientific perspectives. This mixed perspective of festivals has given such a wonderful color to the thoughts and feelings of this country that it amazes the whole world.

Not a mere flight of imagination

A country with a long series of festivals and celebrations where every day of the year is defined for its specialty and the definition too is not any ordinary one but is based on complete scientific facts and mathematical logic and which benefits not only India but the entire world, this is the specialty of India and Indian festivals and celebrations. If the credit for this is to be given to anyone then it is none other than our sages and saints who took their meditation to such a high level that the light of their knowledge is still guiding modern science and scientists. Space travel, geographical calculations, computers, mobiles, internet including artificial intelligence, all these are seen as important inventions of science. Today we may be surprised about artificial intelligence but ever think how Rishi Intelligence must have been working in India for centuries when our Rishi Munis had the power to see the invisible just by going into meditation, for which today we need so many scientific instruments. This power of Rishi Intelligence was not just a figment of the imagination of the Rishis because now science is also repeating it and this is the reason that the scientific recognition of Indian festivals and the reasons and methods of celebrating them is also increasing.

Understanding the importance of Panch Tatvas

The year 2025 has begun and the calendars have changed. With the changed calendar and the beginning of 2025, the wait for festivals has also begun. The number of these festivals is so much that if one wants, one can keep celebrating some festival every day, not just every month, but every week. The way of celebrating each festival is different and its beauty is also different, that is why India is also called the land of festivals. But the most amazing thing is that the message of every festival ultimately becomes the same and that is the end of inauspiciousness. Inauspiciousness can be in the form of physical or mental illness or family and social discord. This inauspiciousness can be not only in the form of social animosity but also in the form of natural disaster. This is the reason why our ancestors gave the practice of celebrating festivals in different months for every state and community, from north to south and east to west. They weaved the fabric of these festivals in such a way that today it has become an integral part of the life of every Indian. Even if any member of the family is living away from the family to earn livelihood or for studies, everyone tries to return to their family as soon as the festivals arrive. Starting from Makar Sankranti in January, Vasant Panchami in February, Mahashivratri and colorful Holi in March, the tradition of celebrating many festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Navratri, Vijayadashami, Karva Chauth, Deepawali, Bhai Dooj, Chhath Pujan etc. with pomp and show with songs, music, dance, fasts, and religious rituals not only reflects the rich heritage and vibrant traditions of India, but also makes us aware of the importance of the five elements from which this body is composed. That is why our sages and saints always gave importance to nature in the celebration of festivals and laid down the rules of worshipping trees, plants, animals, birds, sun, moon, river etc. The festival of Makar Sankranti celebrated in the month of January is one such festival that underlines the importance of nature.

Opportunity to connect with divinity

India is located in the northern hemisphere, hence this festival has a very important place in Indian culture which proclaims 'Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya'. Though every festival surrounded by traditions and rituals gives some message in the interest of society and nation, the message of Makar Sankranti festival is special which not only provides an opportunity to understand the heritage of nature and its importance but also gives the message to focus on the energy of nature based on scientific facts. Generally, all the dates of Indian calendar system are determined on the basis of the movement of the moon, but Makar Sankranti is determined by the movement of the sun. Sankranti means change of zodiac sign of the sun i.e. transition or entry of the sun from one zodiac sign to the next i.e. Capricorn. Ancient astronomers, scientists, while studying the rays of the sun, divided the path of the sun into 12 parts and called each part a zodiac sign. Thus, the entry of the sun from one zodiac sign to another is called Sankranti. There are a total of 12 Sankrantis in a year and the time between one Sankranti and the other is called the solar month. Makar Sankranti is also mentioned in Skanda Purana and according to it, on the day of Makar Sankranti, the gods come to earth to accept the material offered in the yagya, that is why it is also considered the time of gods and divinity. That is, Makar Sankranti also provides an opportunity to contact divinity, due to which it becomes of special importance for spiritual seekers.

Festivals based on astronomical calculations

We know that the position of planets and stars is not always the same in the sky and our earth also keeps changing its position. Day and night occur due to the spherical shape of the earth and its rotation on its axis. The part of the earth which is in front of the sun has day and the part which is not in front of the sun has night. This movement of the earth is called daily movement but the earth also has annual movement and it revolves around the sun once in a year. Due to this annual motion of the earth, different seasons occur at different times in its different parts, which is called seasonal change. The calculation of year and month etc. is done by taking the help of this annual motion of the earth. In this sequence, when the movement of the sun is from south to north, it is called Uttarayan and when it is from north to south, it is called Dakshinayan. Thus, the whole year is divided equally into two parts, Uttarayan and Dakshinayan. The zodiac in which the sun's orbit changes is called the transition period. Since the sun changes its orbit every year on 14 January and enters Capricorn from Dakshinayan to Uttarayan, Makar Sankranti is celebrated every year on 14 January. The change in the sun's orbit on the day of Makar Sankranti is considered to be a change from darkness to light. The importance of the sun being in Uttarayan has also been clarified by Lord Krishna in the eighth chapter of Chandogya Upanishad and Shrimad Bhagwat Gita.

Festivals with many forms

The festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated all over India and its specialty and beauty is different in every state. The festival is one but the traditions of celebrating it are different. For this reason, this festival presents a unique example of the unity and integrity inherent in the diversity of the vast India. In Haryana and Punjab, it is celebrated a day before as Lohri, in which as soon as it gets dark, a fire is lit and the fire god is worshipped and sesame, jaggery, rice and roasted gram are offered as sacrifices. In Rajasthan and Gujarat, there is a special tradition of flying kites on this day, whereas in Uttar Pradesh, it is mainly known as a festival of bathing and charity. In the Gorakhnath temple of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, a huge crowd gathers from early morning to offer Khichdi on this festival. In Bihar too, Makar Sankranti is known by the name of Khichdi, whereas the people of Assam celebrate it by the name of Magh-Bihu or Bhogali-Bihu. Similarly, the festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great pomp in all the states from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

Science of health with bathing and donation

Like every year, this year too the festival of Makar Sankranti will come and go. At dawn, thousands of people across the country will take a dip in the rivers, temple bells will ring, donations will be made in the hope of virtue, khichdi will be prepared in the kitchen as food in the form of prasad, jaggery and chuda with curd will spread their sweet taste and with all this, the market of tilkut and gajak will be decorated and there will be kite flying. How many people would know how much religion, spirituality and science is there in all these features. On one hand, in North India, people stay huddled under the quilt due to cold and on the other hand, there is the practice of bathing in the river in the morning before sunrise. It is possible that some people may find all this contradictory or strange, but the science of health is hidden in this. Little do they know that when the amount of phlegm in the body increases in winter and the skin also becomes dry, then bathing in the river and the rays of the sun both work as a powerful medicine. Not only this, bathing in the river not only calms the inner mind but also removes negative energy. There is also a provision for the consumption of sesame seeds in Makar Sankranti, which is known as a phlegm-killer, nutritious and highly effective medicine. According to Ayurveda, both sesame and jaggery have abundant medicinal and nutritional properties. While sesame increases the amount of good cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart disease by reducing bad cholesterol, jaggery is effective in increasing blood due to being a good source of iron. Similarly, what can be a more easily digestible and healthy food than the khichdi made on the day of Sankranti. According to Ayurveda, moong dal balances the three doshas i.e. vata, pitta and kapha and the khichdi made from it is nutritious and easily digestible and is also very beneficial for the stomach.

Message of Sankranti, not revolution

It is clear that Makar Sankranti is such a wonderful blend of astronomy and Ayurveda that it not only presents a splendid picture of our rich heritage of knowledge but also gives the message of Sankranti, which is different from revolution. Sankranti means that in which there is neither the arrogance of success nor the sorrow of failure. Just like this, to ensure that the colours of the pictures of cultural heritage containing different colours of many festivals do not fade with time, our ancestors first linked them with worship and religious rituals and then gave them to us as a legacy. Now it is our responsibility to imbibe the messages of these festivals and maintain our enthusiasm in celebrating them so that the next generations can also understand the messages of these festivals. Only when we understand the messages of our festivals, the picture of Indian culture will become more rich.

What do you usually do when you have a cold or fever? The answer would be that you take medicines after consulting a doctor. If you have diabetes or hypertension, you take medicines regularly every day. After this, you become carefree thinking that 'I have taken the medicine, now there is no need to worry.'
In the last few months, many medicines have failed the quality test conducted by the drug regulatory body CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organization). This means that a medicine which was made for the treatment of a particular disease is not effective for that disease. That medicine can also have more side effects. Overall, it is not safe to consume medicines which fail the quality test. Therefore, we cannot be carefree even after consuming the medicine.
India's largest drug regulatory body CDSCO has released a list of 48 medicines. These medicines have failed the random sample quality testing conducted in the month of August. A total of 53 medicines failed in this testing, while among these, there are 5 medicines which the companies have refused to accept as their own. These were fake medicines, which were being sold in the market in the name of some pharma companies.
The worrying thing is that the medicines that failed the test are being manufactured by the country's renowned pharma companies like Hetero Drugs, Alkem Laboratories, Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited.

Why can't we trust pharma companies and doctors?
Which of our habits are making us sick?
How can we take the reins of our health in our own hands?

In April 2024, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) released a survey report, which stated that 45% of doctors in India are writing wrong or misleading prescriptions. It also revealed that doctors are unnecessarily writing many medicines in the prescription paper, such as Pantoprazole, Rabeprazole-Domperidone and Enzyme Drugs.
Now the failure of medicines of reputed pharma companies in the quality test means that the health of common people is being played with on a very large scale.

Medicines for which diseases failed in sample testing?

Even the popular tablet Shellcal given to children to fulfill the requirement of calcium and Vitamin-D has failed to meet the parameters of this quality test.
