It can mean personal growth, religious experience, seeking a supernatural realm or belief in the afterlife, or understanding one's 'inner dimension'. Spiritual means 'matter of the soul', derived from Old French Spiritual (12th century) and Latin Spiritualis. To be spiritual is to be able to experience that which is beyond the physical. If we see the same supreme being in all the creatures of the universe as we have, then we are truly spiritual.

Spirituality means 'study of self' or study of the soul

'Spirituality' literally means connection with the soul, self-realization, thoughts related to soul-god, spirituality means 'study of self' or self-study, that is, the path to experience divine bliss is spirituality. Spirituality enables a person to connect with his own existence and to analyse it in detail. In fact, being spiritual means that a person knows on the basis of his own experience that he himself is the source of his happiness, happiness is present within him.
The word 'spiritual' is formed by adding the suffix 'ik' to the root word 'adhyaatm'. Peace of mind is religious devotion, pure love and spiritual happiness. What is the difference between spirituality and devotion? In religious devotion, the feeling of surrender and dedication is paramount in the mind of the devotee, whereas in spirituality, the feeling of 'Aham Brahmasmi' prevails in the mind of the seeker. In the feeling of devotion, the devotee does not have any curiosity or doubt about his deity, perhaps there is a feeling of complete loyalty and dedication. Broadly, the meaning of 'pure love' can vary depending on personal beliefs, personal attitude and cultural background. Generally, it refers to that form of love which is considered pure, divine and spiritually important.

Spiritual Love and Transcendental Partnership

Both spiritual love and transcendental partnership have a ‘feeling of unity’ between souls. This connection is not limited to the physical realm but extends to spiritual and spiritual dimensions which can be a synchronistic feeling where events and circumstances align in a way that is beyond coincidence.
Spiritual purity awakens the feeling of kindness, true love, devotion, generosity, benevolence and develops divinity. Mostly people have a predominance of Tamoguna-Rajoguna. Spiritual practice develops Sat Guna. Sat Guna intelligence makes a person full of lively life, radiant and dominant. Quotes on Love by Lord Krishna, ‘Love is a feeling that is beyond the physical, spiritual and eternal. To love without conditions, to give without reason, to care without expectation and to speak without intention, is the feeling of selfless love.’
The mark of a spiritual person is that he is always happy and kind towards others. They do not like to underestimate or criticize anyone. At the same time, they inspire in the hope of making the world a better place. If you believe in such values, then naturally you are spiritual. Spirituality enables a person to connect with his own existence and make subtle introspection. Being spiritual means that a person knows from his experiences that he is 'himself', the source of his happiness. Spirituality is related to our inner life. The person who finds peace in his home and family is the happiest and content.

The essence of Gita - 'Full of love, compassion, kindness and peace'

Man's own soul is called spirituality. The actions related to the physical personality of beings and their development process are called karma or sakaam karma. The three elements of spirituality are Brahma, Jiva and Maya. This essence of the Gita tells us, 'The best person is full of love, kindness, compassion and peace.' It says that a person with these qualities is not influenced by material things, is not attached to wealth or pride and prays to God with an open heart. In fact, God loves and cares for such people. To get spiritual strength, we can especially imbibe five facts in our life; acceptance, restraint, cooperation, morality and meditation. We live in a satisfied and complaining mood throughout our life. This is a major cause of stress, gradually we should get into the habit of living in a satisfied mood.

The Wise Way to Live Spiritually

There are three ways to reach the spiritual process. First, you can gradually reach it by doing the right things over a period of time; second, you can stay in your present circumstances, do your best, keep yourself open and focused and make yourself available to the process. Here being spiritual means rising above the average. This is a wise way to live, it requires lifetimes of sadhana. This thinking is due to lack of commitment and concentration in most people. The third way is sadhana, which is a method to accelerate the pace of spiritual development with full awareness. Spirituality is neither a psychological nor a social process. It is completely about existence. If we get completely absorbed in any work, the spiritual process starts there, even if that work is just sweeping the floor. 'Knowing something superficially is worldliness and knowing deeply is spirituality.'

Giving up the habit of tobacco, smoking, drinking and intoxication

Mental power can be increased by practicing meditation daily to increase mental power. Meditation can be done for 15 to 20 minutes daily. This gives amazing peace to the body and mind as well as brain development. Meditation and Pranayam can be done after waking up in the morning. With the increase in age, the health of the brain also declines, as a result of which the memory power starts declining. In such a situation, some people often start taking medicines. The health of the brain can be developed by exercising and meditating daily. One should always avoid tobacco, smoking, drinking and other intoxicating habits. These harm the lungs and also harm the health of the brain. One should consume food rich in nutrients which are always a factor of good health. For good brain health, include dry fruits, olive oil, healthy new-invented ingredients, mineral rich foods, fish and protein in your diet. When we are stressed or frustrated, we may also face mental problems. Therefore, brain health can be improved by staying stress free. Nowadays people, especially the youth, have made a kind of distance from spirituality. The reason for this is the improper presentation of spirituality. Some people consider spirituality to mean torturing oneself, living a life of deprivation, escaping from life and anti-life. It is also often believed that spiritual people are prohibited from enjoying life and it is necessary for them to endure every kind of suffering, whereas the truth is that being spiritual has nothing to do with external life.
Now the question arises that what is the difference between 'a spiritual and a worldly person'? The answer to this is 'a worldly person only earns his food' everything else is like; For love, happiness, joy and peace, he has to depend on others for alms. On the contrary, a spiritual person earns his peace, love and happiness himself and depends on others only for food, but if he wants, he can earn his food too. These characteristics will make it easy to understand what spirituality is and what a spiritual person is like.

Regular meditation and yoga, the way to awaken divine power

Regular meditation and yoga increase mental peace and self-confidence, due to which divine power can be experienced. Spiritual knowledge is gained by participating in satsang, satsang of spiritual gurus and saints, which can awaken divine power. The following measures can be taken to recognize your inner power and make the mind powerful-
● Keep your mind calm, an unpeaceful mind can never be powerful.
● Think positively, positive thinking gives power and peace to the mind.
● Have faith in yourself, this strengthens and strengthens the inner mind.
● Set your goals and objectives and focus on them.

Happiness is the greatest happiness of man

Happiness is the greatest happiness in the world. One who is happy is happy and one who is happy will surely remain happy. Only a happy mind can see the true nature of the soul, realize God and attain all the pleasures of life. To make life successful in all respects, happiness is essential. Spirituality has nothing to do with any religion, sect or creed. Spirituality is about how we are from within. Spirituality is not something you do in a temple, mosque or church. It can only happen inside you. The spiritual process is not about looking up or down.
Conclusively, a spiritual person is someone who seeks a deeper understanding of life, existence and purpose beyond the material aspects of the world. Being spiritual often involves discovering one's inner values and connection to something greater than oneself which can be explained in religious, philosophical or transcendental terms. Human beings have amazing powers that enable them to perform various tasks, it includes physical, mental and spiritual powers. These can be acquired through meditation, prayer and other spiritual practices.
Finally, one who has the idea or insight of Atma, Brahman and Swarupa, Paramatma or Atma, is related to spirituality and is different from the material and materialistic, is endowed with spiritual understanding and knowledge, it comes from a deep connection with the inner ‘self’ and ‘God’ of a human being. It is the ability to see beyond the material world and understand the interrelationship of all things. Spirituality is related to our inner being.
Finally, spirituality helps in knowing and understanding oneself. Without self-knowledge or spiritual knowledge, a human being is like a directionless boat.
