Haridwar, January 14 | On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Saint Soldier Guru Govind Singh Ji, agrand program was organized in the main auditorium of the university under the aegis of Guru Govind Singh Chair under Patanjali University.
In his address at the program, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Param Pujya Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj said that the life of Guru Govind Singh Ji inspires us to follow the path of courage, sacrifice and truth. His scholarship, especially his deep understanding of Sanskrit and theology, enriches the Indian Sanatan, culture and spiritual heritage. He said that Guru Govind Singh Ji taught us to coordinate education, tradition, and religion. Such great personalities are the foundation of our culture and civilization, who will continue to guide the coming generations. Addressing the students present in the auditorium, he said that today's youth should take inspiration from his life and adopt education and moral values, this will be our true tribute to him. The main speaker of the program, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Associate Professor, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, in his speech said that the life-philosophy of Guru Govind Singh Ji is indescribable. He said that Guru Govind Singh Ji dedicated his life to the protection of truth, courage and religion. Dr. Kulveer Singh Saini, Professor Agronomy, Punjab Agricultural University was also present as the special guest of the program. Prof. (Dr.) J.S. Sandhu, Chairman of Guru Govind Singh Chair, while sharing the activities and objectives of the chair established in the name of Guru Govind Singh Ji with the people present in the auditorium, said that soon PhD research work will be started under this chair. Along with this, seminars and workshops will also be organized from time to time for in-depth discussion on the thoughts and life philosophy of Guru Govind Singh Ji.

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sadhvi Devpriya Ji, Head of the Faculty of Humanities and Oriental Studies, welcomed the guests present on the stage by presenting them with Ang Vastra.
In his welcome address, Vice-Chancellor of Patanjali University, Prof. Mayank Kumar Agarwal said that the life of Guru Govind Singh Ji was multi-faceted. In the program, the students of the university also expressed their views on the life-philosophy of Guru Govind Singh Ji from the stage. On this occasion, Shabad-Kirtan was also organized.
