Ayurveda is an ancient vedic system of treatment which gives a special approach towards health and welfare. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means ‘science of life’ and it’s a total treatment system which was developed to keep physical, mental and emotional in balance around 5000 years ago. This system helps us overcome tension, busy lifestyle and environmental pollution. It brings alertness and lessens pains from the body. In 1982, WHO validated ayurveda as traditional treatment which is in practice in the entire world.
Maharshi Sushrut who is considered as one of the prominent writers on ayurveda had said around 1000 AD, “A person is called as healthy if his/her body is balanced, his/her digestion is proper and his/her tissue and excretion are normal, his/her mind and sense organs are continuously in happy state. This system considers the people as a unit made of their mind, body and soul. According to WHO report, around 70-80 percent population of the world depends on herbal sources like alternative medicines for better health.
