You and we all try to adopt nutritious food in life, but still there is always a little scope left. Due to the hectic lifestyle of today, our eating habits have changed, due to which many health related problems start bothering us every day.
Vitamins are a group of organic, essential micronutrient elements naturally available in foods, which are essential for the growth and nutrition of all living beings. Due to their deficiency, there is a decrease in immunity as well as the chances of getting many diseases increases.
Although all vitamins and micronutrients are necessary for our good health, but vitamin B-12 is one such vitamin whose deficiency proves to be very harmful for health.
Vitamin B-12, by the way, helps in making and repairing DNA, the genes found in our cells. It is related to the brain, spinal cord and some elements of the nerves, it also helps in composition. This is the vitamin that makes up our red blood cells. This works to make different types of proteins for all parts of the body. This is a vitamin that is absorbed in our intestines. After that, the liver works to send it to the parts of the body that need it.
Vitamins are generally not synthesized in the human body and all humans depend mainly on plants for vitamins. Vitamins A, B-complex, C, D and E are the major types of vitamins (Azzini et al., 2021; Watanabe et al., 2014).
On the basis of solubility, vitamins are classified into two types.
a) Water soluble Vitamin B and Vitamin C are water soluble.
b) fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and vitamin K are fat soluble.
Vitamin B-complex is a group of essential vitamins in the human body and is made up of several components. B-1 (Thiamine), B-2 (Riboflavin), B-3 (Niacin), B-5 (Pantothenic Acid), B-6 (Pyridoxine), B-7 (Biotin), B-9 (Folate), B-12 (cobalamin). (Godswill et al., 2020).
B-12, cobalamin, is an cobalt attached vitamin and is necessary for the formation of red blood cells in the human body, its deficiency can cause the following disorders in the body.
1. There is a disease called anemia (lack of blood).
2. Vitamin B-12 in pregnant women is necessary for the formation of the brain and spinal cord in the fetus.
3. Vitamin B-12 enables the nervous system of the human body, is necessary for the absorption of folic acid in the body, increases the body's immunity.
4. 12 Helps in dealing with boat hence also prevents from heart disease.

Vitamin B-12 is naturally available in various sources, among which the details of plant sources are given below-
1. Vitamin B-12 is found in plants in small quantity and such plant food are mushroom, algae and those grown from cow dung, such as spinach (Mozafar. 1994; Watanabe et al., 2014)
2. Biofermented food: Vitamin B-12 is found in abundance in cheese, paneer, yogurt, fermented corn, milk and milk products. Among the above mentioned natural sources, vitamin B12 is found in maximum quantity in animal sources and there is a lack of market availability of vitamin B12 refined by plants. (Watanabe et al., 2014) Therefore, keeping in mind the Indian population and looking at the sources of vitamin B-12, Patanjali developed biofermented (corn / maize) vitamin B-12 with moringa (drumstick / drumstick) and aloe vera extract. has done.
