Fourth Institutional Gold Shalaka Competition inaugurated at Patanjali University

Haridwar, January 11 | The fourth institutional gold-plate competition was inaugurated at Patanjali University under the joint aegis of the Department of Philosophy and Sanskrit under the Faculty of Humanities and Oriental Studies.
On this occasion, the Chancellor of the University, Param Pujya Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj said that by assimilating the tradition of the scriptures, one gets inspiration to follow the path of Yoga, the path of Vedas, the path of Rishis. He also told that the effort should be with knowledge and devotion.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Param Pujya Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj said that if we follow the scriptures, the scriptures will protect and promote us. Patanjali University is playing a leading role in the protection of the Sanatan tradition by remembering the scriptures. Indian culture and Sanatan pride are intact till date only through the scriptures. The tradition of the scriptures is very beneficial for nation building through character building and for world brotherhood and world peace. Patanjali University is working with full determination and dedication in this process.

Pujya Sadhvi Devpriya Ji, the main coordinator of the Swarna Shalaka competition, told that in this competition, 475 students from different faculties participated by memorizing the Bhagwadgita, Shaddarshan, Upanishad, Panchopadesh and Nitishatkam, Gherand Samhita, Hathyoga Pradeepika etc.
In the program organized on the occasion of Lohri festival and Guru Govind Singh Jayanti, under the fourth institutional Swarna Shalaka competition, revered Acharya Ji Maharaj gave lakhs of rupees, medals and certificates to more than 200 participants for first, second and third place in scripture memorization.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Mayank Agarwal, Dr. Satyendra Mittal, Dr. K.N.S. Yadav, Kaviraj Dr. Manohar Lal Arya, Dr. Vijaypal Shastri, Dean Swami Arshdev, Chief Central Incharge of Bharat Swabhiman Trust Swami Parmarthdev, Dean of Yoga Faculty Prof. Omnarayan Tiwari, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Bipin Dubey, Controller of Examinations Dr. A.K. Singh, Deputy Registrar Dr. Nirvikaar, Assistant Professor of Philosophy Department Dr. Sanwar Singh, Acharya Badrinath Ballari and all the professors and students etc. were present.
The program was conducted by Assistant Acharya of Sanskrit Department Dr. Gautam and coordinated by Swami Ishdev.
