Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine that not only focuses on the treatment of diseases but also provides guidance for adopting a healthy lifestyle. In the modern lifestyle, due to unbalanced diet, mental stress, physical inactivity, and environmental pollution, many types of chronic diseases are arising, among which diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, obesity, high blood pressure, skin diseases, migraine, respiratory diseases and digestive problems are prominent.
In Ayurveda, Panchkarma treatment is considered highly effective for the treatment of these diseases. It is a group of five specific purification procedures, which balances the doshas (vata, pitta, kapha) by removing toxins from the body and eliminates the root cause of diseases.
Concept of Panchkarma
According to Ayurveda, when Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas in the body become imbalanced, they give rise to various diseases. Panchkarma treatment is a natural method of balancing these doshas and purifying the body. It is mainly divided into five stages:
1. Vamana (Therapeutic Vaman Kriya)
This procedure is done especially to correct the imbalance of Kapha dosha. In this, excess phlegm and toxins are removed from the body by inducing vomiting through medicinal substances.
Benefits:

●    Helpful in the treatment of skin diseases (psoriasis, eczema).
●    Improves the metabolism of the body.

3. Basti (Basti-Therapeutic Enema Action)
Basti Chikitsa is done to correct the imbalance of Vata dosha. In this, medicinal oil or decoction is introduced into the body through the rectum.
Benefits:
●    Beneficial in arthritis, joint pain, paralysis.
●    Relieves constipation, indigestion and digestive problems.
●    Helpful in increasing immunity.
4. Nasya (nasal inhalation)
This process involves the purification of the body through the nose using medicinal oils or herbs. It is especially effective for disorders related to the head and brain.
Benefits:
●    Relief in headache, migraine and sinusitis.
●    Relieves mental stress and insomnia.
●    Helps in improving memory and concentration.
5.  Raktamokshana (blood purification)
This process treats blood disorders by removing contaminated blood from the body.

●    Beneficial in blood-borne diseases like psoriasis, eczema, and boils.
●    Controls blood pressure.
●    Purifies the body naturally.
