Vedas' auspicious voice resonated at Har Ki Pauri
The 62nd All India Shastra Utsav created new history when the auspicious voice of Vedas resonated at Har Ki Pauri. It seemed as if a grand confluence of Indian culture was taking place at Har Ki Pauri. It seemed as if a triveni confluence of Vedas, yoga and faith was taking place on the divine land. In the glorious festival of scriptures, Patanjali gave the message of Sanatan culture to the world from Haridwar.
The gurgling stream of the Ganga, the golden aura of the sunset, the flickering light of thousands of lamps and the divine resonance of the Vedas and various scriptures, Haridwar's Har Ki Pauri once again became a witness to the unique splendor of Indian culture. This was not just an ordinary spiritual event, but a historic moment when thousands of scholars and devotees from every corner of the country collectively listened to the scriptures and set a world record by participating in the Ganga Aarti together. This moment was as if giving a direct glimpse of the sadhana of the ancient sages of India.
The time of dusk, the red hue in the sky, the soft image of the sun on the calm waves of the Ganga and thousands of devotees gathered on the ghats, the atmosphere itself was indicating some divine festival. As soon as the first bell of the Aarti rang, there was a rhythmic pulsation in the flow of the Ganga. When the recitation of the Vedas and scriptures started at Har Ki Pauri, it seemed as if the entire universe was swaying to the rhythm of these divine sounds. The hymns of Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda, the verses of Upanishads, the messages of Bhagvad Gita and the profound words of Yogasutras, all together were presenting such a divine Mahasangit, in which the confluence of spirituality, philosophy and devotion was clearly visible. After the Shastra Shravan, as soon as the Ganga Aarti started, the whole atmosphere became mesmerizing. Huge garlands of lamps in the hands of scholars, saints and acharyas, bells and gongs resonating all around, the proclamation of Chhar Har Gangej and the innumerable shadows of the lamps in the flowing water of Ganga, this scene was worth experiencing not only with the eyes, but also with the heart. It seemed as if Mother Ganga herself was accepting the devotion of her devotees. This event was not just a celebration, but an attempt to return to our roots. This proved that Indian civilization can still guide the world with the verses of the Vedas, the practice of yoga, and the knowledge of Ayurveda. This divine event of Haridwar was not just a one-day spiritual festival, but gave birth to a new wave of renaissance of Indian culture. Whenever the Ganga flows, whenever the verses of the Vedas resonate, this golden chapter of this All India Shastra Utsav will be remembered.
