Seasons have very close impact on our health because with change of season we are required to change our food and lifestyle and so take care of our health. Starting from magh month of Hindi calender after every two months we have change of season from Shishir Ritu to Basant Ritu to Grishma Ritu to Sharad Ritu to Hemant Ritu therefore there are Six Seasons which exist and in every season we have to bring suitable changes in our Lifestyle for proper strength in our body and proper glow of our skin and these Six Seasons have been divided into two periods-
  •    Adhan Kaal when the sun is strong and the moon is weak 
  •    Visarg Kaal when the moon is strong and the sun is weak
Hemant Ritu of Hindi calender comes under visarg Kal in which the moon is stronger and the sun is weak and from health point of view this is one season of winter which is considered to be good for health.

In Hemant Ritu the medicines available also have great medicinal properties and in this season our body is full of strength days are smaller and nights are longer due to which we have enough time for rest which is the reason why our food is digested pretty well and due to these reasons in Hemant season we get lots of strength in our body and our appetite is also very good due to which our digestive system function very well and even if we eat even more more fasting or eating rough food for simple food is bad for health therefore it is advised to take enough meal so that your appetite remains good and your body must get supply of dhaatu and when proper diet is not take him then gastric problem increases in the body therefore in this season it is advised to take sweet and acidic and salty food.

Food in Hemant season

In Hemant season we should take fatty and oily food which must have sweetness in taste and properties wise acidic and salty which is good for our health.
Because according to health experts it is advised to take food of a heavy nature in the season.
Following kind of food can be advisable for Hemant season
  •     Milk and Milk products like curd, cream, rabdi, tender cottage cheese, etc. 
  •     Sugar cane products like jaggery and sugar of other forms
  •     New harvest rice
It is advised to consume oils like mustard and Til and Alsi.
