Indian New Year

Samvatsara means the world's oldest method of dividing time into time blocks. Such a method • Which was discovered by the then Indian scientists ie our sages and which even today meets every test of science. Samvatsara is similar to the word Samvatsari, which is derived from the Sanskrit language and it literally means a day, a day that comes every year, science is incomplete without the knowledge of science, without understanding this religion and its For better proof than Nav Samvatsar and perhaps Swami Vivekananda had also said that where science ends, spirituality begins and Albert Einstein also believed that science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind. So come on! Modern science by Sanatan Dharma in the name of Nav Samvatsar. Let us also once again remember this unprecedented paid-up capital and feel proud to be associated with the Rishi culture of India.

Amazing and unimaginable

All the planets and satellites in the universe have their own speed, as the earth is rotating on its axis as well as revolving around the sun and the moon is revolving around the earth. Along with the creation of the universe, all these activities have been happening very regularly, due to these activities of the planets and satellites, the nature, climate and seasons keep changing and we keep feeling the effect of this change on the earth. But just think that today thousands of years ago when there was no resource nor any medium of communication nor do we know how these complex activities would have been studied and analyzed by our ancestors in spite of so much advanced technology, their study and The scope of the analysis was also not limited, but on the basis of it, the study of its effects on animals and nature, while calculating it, can undoubtedly be said to be really amazing, unimaginable and unprecedented in comparison to today's advanced technology. Those people must have had a connection with the village, they must have experienced such a technique at one time or the other, when some elder, elder of the village would have predicted the mood of nature by steaming and the next day it would have proved to be true too. In such a situation, the question arises in the mind that after all, what art and what kind of knowledge will it be that by seeing the direction of the wind, the sound of the clouds, their colour, the chirping of the birds, the chirping of the ants, etc. It was given which would surprise even today's meteorologists. Surely the sages who would have done this study. One would be thrilled to think of his divine powers and his wonderful and immeasurable storehouse of knowledge.

Research topic

Today, when we have all the tools easily available, in such a situation, we find it a very easy task to keep an account of the day and time, not much time passed when the calendar hanging on the wall used to tell the day and date. The watch wrapped around the wrist used to give information about the time and the calculator used to do the necessary multiplication and subtraction, but now all this has become a thing of the past, time has changed rapidly and now every hand is smarter day by day. The moving mobile phone and its applications keep you alert about the weather as well as your activity. Smart watches on the wrist, tablet or laptop on the side and high speed internet everywhere to keep them updated with various information. We all used to see the calendar and the clock on the wrist or the ticking on the wall since childhood, but the trend of mobile, computer and internet is hardly three to four decades, then what was the technology after all? Due to which our ancestors used to read the movement of planets and constellations. Surely it should be a matter of research for today's generation that when there was none of these, then what techniques would have been used for so many studies.

Not only religious but scientific events

In fact, for years in the universe, the events occurring due to the mutual movement and relationship between the Sun, the Moon and the Earth, and then the changes in the seasons due to these, were tested by our sages with their special vision, their special vision, this art of his was inherited by our elders. This calculation of Samvatsara was certainly extraordinary and unique because even after all the discoveries, there was no loss in its scientificity. In the absence of information, one can call the Nav Samvatsar as a religious festival or event of Hindus, but the reality is that this festival is as religious as it is, or perhaps even more scientific, so it would be quite appropriate to say that our sages- Muni was the best scientist of that time who provided an infallible instrument named Samvatsar to the whole world, from then till today this instrument named Samvatsar is proving helpful in calculating the time period to the whole world without any kind of error. . Our ancestors gave this wonderful tool to the world, so we all should be proud on the day of Nav Samvatsar, not just religious events. Indeed, hundreds of years ago today, it is astonishing to declare the time cycle of one year as a complete cycle of twelve months i.e. Samvatsara.

Logical and Meaningful Journey

There was a time when the whole world was dependent on this calendar based on this Samvatsar, but it will be said only as a result of the weakening of our self-power and self-forgetfulness that today this calendar has become limited only to know the days of Teej-festivals. The dependence of the English calendar to see the changing dates and days and to perform the tasks accordingly is understandable, but what such self-forgetfulness that our children have forgotten the names of the months in Hindi, such forgetfulness is the loss of self-power. gives birth. Why don't we tell the children today that Navratri doesn't just start on Pratipada, but the year will start on Pratipada, which was scientifically proven all over the world. For such forgetfulness, we can even curse the English medium schools and give strange arguments, but we must do so much that at least we keep on telling our next generations that the names of the twelve months of the year. Their actual source today is the divine tradition of Indian knowledge. We must keep on telling our children that the names of twelve months of the year starting from January, February and December are not limited to December, but it extends from Chaitra, Vaisakh, Jyeshtha, Ashadh to Aghan, Paush, Magha, Phalgun. It is a logical and meaningful journey, if we do not remind them of all this, then how will they be able to remember this. How proficient Indian astrologers were in constellation science.

Sage culture of india

The new generation born in the age of internet and then the children getting educated through English medium know very little about Samvatsara. Children, now even in the lives of common people, gradually the meaning of Nav Santvasar has been reduced to just worship and some people are turning away from this worship. On the one hand, the shrinking of families from joint family to nuclear family and on the other hand the dominance of English medium in the education of children from the beginning, both of them together are becoming a challenge to the Rishi culture of India. This is by no means a positive for any of us - the generations before us may have been apprehensive of this and that's why they would have linked logic to religion to preserve these scientific traditions, but now children will go to religion itself. started doing Modern science is pleasing to them but they do not know that the foundation on which it stands is the sage culture of India. Samvatsara is also the result of thousands of years of scientific research of many sages. Today we all find it easy to google for any kind of information but surely our future generation has to remember that the knowledge of measuring time did not come to India from Greece or baby loan but from India. and then on the basis of that knowledge or in other words, by copying it, it was popularized all over the world with new names, if we keep giving such information to our children, then surely they will feel self-respect. Otherwise, on finding the name behind any invention, as usual, some foreign name will emerge in front of them.

Scientific ground of Indian Time Calculation

The scientificity of the Indian time calculation can be gauged from the fact that there has never been a difference of a single moment in it over the centuries, whereas in western calendars, 30 days are kept in some month and 31 days in some to organize 365 days of the year. And every four years, February is declared as a leap year, yet about 9 minutes and 11 seconds are left, due to which one day has to be increased again every 400 years. Even about a decade ago, the most accurate of Paris, the International Atomic Clock was slowed by one second. In the Roman calendar, there were only 10 months and only 355 days in a year, later it was declared 365 days by Julius Caesar. The name of the month of July also fell on Julius, similarly, about a hundred years later, another month was named August after King Augustus. Even at that time the Indian calendar was prevalent all over the world and according to linguists September meant the seventh part of the sky, October-October, November-November and December-December, on one hand the ninth month of the English calendar is September, the tenth month. October, eleventh month is November and twelfth month is December, on the other hand these words mean 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Latin language which is self explanatory.

Foundation of science with culture

This development of knowledge of Indian time measurement has never stopped, and after the Vedic period, great personalities like Aryabhata, Varahamihira and Brahmagupta made unique contributions in its development. Aryabhata was an astronomer as well as a unique in the field of mathematics. The discovery of zero without the parenthesis of the value sign of pi, mathematics and any kind of calculation was not possible and the credit of all this goes to Aryabhatta Similarly, in the history of science, Varahamihira was the first person who told that all objects are attracted towards the earth. Grateful to some unknown force. Over the years this unknown force was named by Newton as gravitational force. Similarly, the earth is round and rotates on its axis, which causes night and day, this theory was explained by Aryabhata long before Nicolaus Copernicus. On the basis of these, the calculation of the Samvatsar was done, in which it was concluded that the Samvatsar is the time in which the earth completes one revolution of the Sun, so this period of Samvatsar has not been calculated just like this, but for this, our sages and sages have done it for years. The coordinated position of the three Sun, Moon and Nakshatras was explored and then the whole world got the benefit of it. Not only this, the foundation of all our festivals became the pillar of Indian culture, as well as the beginning of the science-based religious tradition of Lagna and Mahurta for auspicious works was also laid from here, although there was never any time to start auspicious work and observe its Muhurta. did not impose or compel the Panchang on us, yet we felt secure by staying in the bondage of the dates shown in the Panchang, and be self-confident in the success and smooth completion of the work. Due to these reasons, we Indians have the belief of Sanatan Sadhana which has been going on for years.

Each Samvatsara has a special name

Although many period calculations are prevalent in India due to its own cultural diversity, but among them the main forms are Vikra Samvat, Shaka Samvat, Hijri Sun, Christian Sun, Veer Nirvana Samvat, Banga Samvat etc. The most important of all these are Vikra Samvat Panchang. is given only. It is believed that on this day the creation of the universe also started. A total of 60 samvats are mentioned in the Indian calendar and all these samvatsara go on sequentially • and each new samvatsara is known by a special name. These 60 Samvatsaras are divided into 3 parts and each part is divided into 3 groups of 20 Samvatsaras which are dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The names of these Samvatsaras are as follows- Prabhav, Vibhav, Shukla, Pramod, Prajapati, Angir, Shrimukh, Bhava, Yuva, Dhata, Ishvara, Bahudhanya, Pramaathi, Vikram, Vish Chitrabhanu, Swabhanu, Taran, Parthiv, Expenditure, Sarvajit, Sarvadar, Anti , perversion, ferment, nandan, victory, hail, manmath, scornful hemilamb, delay, vicarious, swarthy, buoyant, benevolent, adornment, wrath, trust, defeat, plunging, rivet, mild, ordinary, antagonized paridhavi, plausible, joy, demon, Nalini, Pingal, Kaal, Siddhath Raudri, Durmati, Dundubhi, Rudhirodgari, Raktaksha, Krodhan and Akshay according to the English date, this time this New Year i.e. 207. Nav Samvatsara is starting from April 02, 2022 and according to Jyotirvi its name is Nalini happens to be.

India's story is unique

Undoubtedly, when the Indian New Year begins, then nature chirps and then the matter of India is unique, because according to religious belief, Brahma ji had created the universe on this day, so on this day especially Brahma ji, The main deities of the creation created by him, Yakshas-demons, Gandharvas, Rishi-Muni, river-mountain, animals-birds, humans, germs and their remedies are also worshipped. According to the Shatapatha Brahmana composed by sage Yagyavalk Vajasaneya, the idol that Prajap produced from his body is called Samvatsar, the Vedas also describe the Nav-Samvatsar. In the 27th and 30th chapters of the Yajurveda, it is explained in detail in the 45th and 16th mantras respectively. This is also confirmed by the Ritasukta of Rigveda, in which it is said.

Samudradarnavadadhi Samvatsaro Ajayat I
Ahoratrini Vidyut Vishwasya Mishto Vashi II

That is, Prajapati created the Sun, Moon, Nakshatra, Heaven, Earth, Space and since then the Nav-Samvatsara started. This time is also considered to be the beginning of Srishti Samvat, from this the age of the universe is also estimated. It is also said in the Brahma Purana that –

Chaitre Masi Jagad Brahma Sasarj Prathame Ahani I
Shukla Paksha samagratu tada sunrise sati I

That is, on the first sunrise of Chaitra month, Brahma ji had created the universe and from this day Vikrami Samvat begins.
