Address by Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mohan Yadav at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Patanjali Gurukulam

   Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Mohan Yadav attended the foundation stone laying program of Maharshi Darshanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, Jwalapur and M Acharyakulam as a special guest. While giving an emotional address in the program he said that-

It is my good fortune that I was born in the lap of an Avantika in one of the seven holy cities of Mokshadayini, Baba Mahakal chose me as his servant for his service and now the city ofml Mokshadayini Mayapuri has called me for his darshan.

It is by the grace of Shri Baba Mahakal that I have reached the door of Lord Vishnu. Mother Kshipra's son joins hands with Haridwar and I pray before Mokshadayini Mother Ganga. I also pay my respects to the holy land of Uttarakhand, where Baba Kedar and Baba Badrinath reside, the land from where Mother Ganga and Mother Yamuna have accepted to come to the mortal world.
Hearty congratulations to the Honorable Defense Minister of India, in whose hands the country's borders are safe and the armies are full of courage, Shri Rajnath Singh Ji, Union Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal Ji, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji who came to this program. And hearty welcome and congratulations to learned MP Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi ji. I heartily congratulate Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev, who has introduced the present generation to the blessings of Yoga, and thank him for inviting me to this program. I pay my respects at the feet of all the saints who have come here.

Our Sanatan Culture glorifies both Guru and Gurukul! is. Lord Sri Rama in Tretayuga, then Lord Krishna in Dwapara acquired the initial knowledge of his life in Gurukul itself. Madhya Pradesh is fortunate that Lord Shri Krishna came to Guru Sandipani's ashram in Ujjain and received education and from the same land I have come today to lay the foundation stone of Gurukulam.
Today is a very holy day. Today is the 200th birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. Today is also the birth anniversary of Gurukul's founder Pujya Swami Darshananand Maharaj Ji and the foundation stone of Patanjali Gurukulam is being laid on this auspicious occasion.

If a person acquired these five characteristics of student life anywhere, it became possible only in Gurukulam. Gurukul is not only a center for education but also for discipline and becoming a human being. Gurukul itself made Raghukul Nandan Ram as Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram and Kanha as Lord Shri Krishna who gave the knowledge of Geeta.
The sacred land of Haridwar has been the carrier of Indian culture and eternal tradition. Patanjali Institute has proved to be an important link in this direction. Today the foundation stone of Gurukulam is proving this. Haridwar has given us gifts in the form of Yoga, Ayurveda and spirituality that keep our body, mind and life healthy.

I bow to Maharishi Patanjali, who destroys the impurities of the mind through Yoga Shastra, of speech through Grammar Shastra and of body through Vaidya Shastra.
Maharishi Patanjali has given a boon to the world in the form of Yoga. Respected Swami Ramdev ji has taken the same tradition forward. Today's generation is living the ancient tradition of Yoga only after seeing Yogaguru Swami Ramdev Ji. The gift that Maharishi Patanjali has given us in the form of Yoga has been truly preserved and promoted by Baba Ramdev. You established Patanjali Yogpeeth to promote yoga. The contribution you have made in starting the Yoga Revolution to keep body and mind healthy cannot be expressed enough.
The world has learned the importance of yoga during the Corona pandemic. We have seen pictures of Pranayama and Yogasana from different countries, but the credit for introducing the world to Yoga goes to our famous Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Within 01 year of the formation of the government in the year 2014, consent was received from the United Nations and the world celebrated the first International Yoga Day on 21 June 2015. This has been possible only due to the tireless efforts of Honorable Shri Modi ji.
Yoga is the awakening of our consciousness, it not only heals our body but also our mind and when body and mind are healthy, then the wheel of life runs without tiredness and without disease.
I am extremely happy to know that in this Gurukulam, there will be arrangements for study of Vedas, Darshan, Upanishads, Srimad Bhagwat Geeta, Panchopadesh etc. along with modern subjects, which represent the Sanatan Vedic tradition. Five languages will also be taught here. Here 5 thousand students will connect with their roots and pave the way for the future.
I hope that this Gurukulam becomes a big center of revolution in education. A new history of the field of education will be written from this land. This Gurukulam will play an important role in fulfilling the dream of a new India that the Honorable Prime Minister is seeing through the new education policy. We need more such Gurukulams in the country, which preserve our culture and tell the coming generations that meditation, knowledge and science have been a part of our tradition.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has dreamed of a new India through the new education policy. In the new education policy, emphasis has been laid on the physical and intellectual development of children. Sports and yoga have been considered an integral part. It has been said that studies should be done in mother tongue. The new education policy talks about the all-round development of children and all these things are included in the education system of Gurukul.
Madhya Pradesh is also leading in the implementation of the new education policy. Under the new education policy in the state, one such college will be opened in every district, where all the courses will be available to the students. CM Rise School, PM Shree School and PM College of Excellence are becoming the golden triangle of education in the state.
Madhya Pradesh Government has established Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic Institute for the preservation and dissemination of Sanskrit language and ancient knowledge and science University is established. There are 5 model Sanskrit schools running in the state.
Under Piplad Yojana for Sanskrit schools, scholarship of Rs 8000 per student for class 1 to 5 and Rs 10 thousand per student for class 6 to 12 is being provided annually to Sanskrit schools and students.
In Madhya Pradesh, it was decided to impart Sanskrit language education from LKG onwards. Yoga Commission has been constituted in the state to make yoga a part of people's daily life.
Here I also want to thank the Honorable Defense Minister. Just as India has emerged as a powerful country in the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, similarly under your able guidance, India's borders are safe and its armies are full of courage. I thank you for the opportunity you have provided to the children of Madhya Pradesh to serve the country by sanctioning two Sainik Schools in Bhind and Mandsaur.
In the end I want to say that this Gurukulam should become a new milestone of education in India. Here morning is spent with knowledge of Vedas and evening is spent with computer formulas. The world should appreciate the talent of the students coming out from here. On one hand, they should become the pride of the country by taking up our scriptures, and on the other hand, they should surprise the world with their modern knowledge.
