Since time immemorial in the vedic tradition, the education has been given prominence for the development of human being. Our ancestors who had contributed in various fields like religion, social, economical, political and educational. They were very meritorious. Was education the reason behind it? No, Apart from education, they had divine consciousness. Their life was filled with divine fast and divine rituals. When the people observe fasting while acquiring knowledge, it gives great results. Without observing fast, the people are grappled with sin, bad habits and corruption despite having higher education. Therefore, if the people observe fast, it will help them attain enlightenment. The intention plays important role in the life of people. If we observe fast, our life will be filled with purity and greatness.

Importance of education and fasting

Acquiring knowledge plays important role in the development. It boost our intellect and mind. There should be a clear vision without which the mind gets diverted. It makes adverse effect on our society, nation and world. Therefore, the people must have samyak vision. Many thinkers and philosophers are of vew that our knowledge must be of great quality apart from observing fast. Had the modern education policy paid attention to it, the science would not have been bane. There would have not been struggle among caste, religion, ideology, creed, cult and rituals. The observing fast and adjustment bring totality in the life. 

Who is posing threat in the world

It's clear that it's educated people who are posing more threat than uneducated ones. The reason behind is that in today's modern education system, syllabus is given more prominence than the character building and moral values. Nobody can become knowledgeable and intellectual without purifying food, thoughts, speech and behaviour. Because, their entire energy is spent on unnecessary work. The good character is essential for human development. Our scripture says that 'acharhinam na punanti vedah it means that even veda can't help characterless people. 

Refinement of fasting in education

Modernity is essential in the education, but totality in vision and purity in character are more useful. Because, they are the ingredients of human transformation. The students must observe fasting apart from expert in various subjects. Such students must be the great and aesthetic whether they are doctors, engineers or scientists. They will be contribute in the welfare of the world. The society needs such people who are knowledgeable by mind and respectful by heart.

The appropriate time for observing fast

There is an appropriate time for every work and divine practice is considered as golden era in the fasting. Authentic and astonishing fact is that whatever the children learn in 1-5 years, can't learn till 50 years. The refinement imprinted in the mind of children can't wiped out. For this, the children are fostered in divine atmosphere. The children must not come in contact with bad habits which is contagious. Building great human being is a quite tough task. It needs immense patience, purity and courage.

We must not deviate from our path and purity. We must pay respect to the good values. Abide by the do's and avoid don'ts. Hard work with full dedication and respect is the key to success. Observing fast must be the part of our life. 

Imitation of fasting

Today, hatred and violent people have polluted the entire society. Nuisance is being created in the name of modernity. Unfortunately, the people have considered such violent ideology as their own and  treated so-called great personalities as their ideals. It's destructive thought. We must ponder over that whatever path, rituals, ideals we choose, are useful for our house, family, society, nation, culture, civilisation and entire world.
