Patanjali Wellness Centre – India’s first integrated holistic healthcare initiative in North/East. Social reformer and an inspiration to all women across India, Smt. Riniki Bhuyan Sarma Ji, CMD, Pride East Entertainment Pvt Ltd inaugurated the centre. The event took place on 2nd October, 2024 in the holy presence of Param Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj.
Located in the heart of Northeast India, on the sacred land of Maa Kamakhya and on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, the Guwahati Centre represents a significant step in bringing holistic healthcare to the region. Inspired by the teachings of Param Pujya Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardevji and Sri Sri Madhavdevji, the initiative blends ancient traditions with modern wellness practices. Under the guidance of Param Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj and Param Pujya Ayurveda Shiromani Param Pujya Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj, Patanjali Wellness Guwahati will offer a wide range of healthcare services including Yoga, Ayurveda, Panchkarma, Shatkarma, Leech Therapy, Acupressure, Acupuncture. The Centre aims to provide a comprehensive, integrated approach to health and wellness. Speaking at the newly established facility on the occasion, Param Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj provided detailed information about the Centre's offerings and introduced Sadhvi Devswaroop Ji, Swami Jagatdev Ji and Swami Samgradev Ji, under whose guidance the centre will function. Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust is also involved in various initiatives in Assam and the Northeast region, including education, organic farming and environmental conservation. In the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), two schools under the Indian Education Board - Acharyakulam in Chirang and more than 700 students in Kumarikata - are providing free education to over 500 children. A similar school is running in Seijosa, Arunachal Pradesh. The Government of India Education Board integrates ancient and modern educational practices. Additionally, organic farming, cow rearing and medicinal plant cultivation projects are underway in Kumarikata and Chirang. An international level school for 1,500 students is also under construction in Kumarikata. Param Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj said that the establishment of Patanjali Wellness Center will not only promote health but will also create significant employment opportunities for the local community.
