Aloe Vera

Aloe vera plants are found in almost every part of the country but mostly it is planted in earthen pots in Gardens and balconies. They are also planted on the ages of fields. Special references of Aloe Vera is found in many ancient books like Amarkosh, Bhavprakash, etc. It has many species depending upon the regions where they are found to be. However, all of them are used for treatment of health complications in a very effective manner.

External shape 

This plant is 30-40 cm high, fleshy, evergreen plant. It has no trunk but thick and fleshy leaves originate straight from the roots. Leaves are full of flesh or pulp, they are straight, the plant has no stems, they are 35-60 cm long, 10 cm wide, 18 mm thick, its edges have thorns, which are densely paired in two rows, colour is bright green, with some white patches, with sharp point on the front narrow side. In the middle of its bunch, flowers appear and reddish flowers appear in the winter. When its leaves are slit or cut, they release yellowish fluid, which clots on low temperature, it is called Kumari extract. Its flowers and fruits appear between December and May. It is the main species of Aloe Vera. 

Chemical composition

Its plants contain aloine aloesone, aloasine, etc. While its leaves contain barbeloine, cryasophenile, aglaecone, aloe emodine, myusilage, glucose, glactose, mainnose, gelectyuronic acid, malic acid, cytric acid, tarteric acid, aloesone, aloasine, etc. 

Ayurvedic properties
 It is heavy in digestion, smooth, pichchhil, bitter, cool, vipak and bitter in taste. It is dastavar, good for eye sight, sweet, nutritious, strengthens sperm, cures gastric , poison, gulm spline problem, liver increases, increased testis, cough, fever, granthi, Agnidah, explosion, pitta and blood related problems, skin problems, etc. If it is taken in low quantity, it is deepan, digestive, bhedan, stimulates liver functions, and also cures worm problems. It is smooth, pichchhil and hot due to which it increases uterus related blood circulation and the nerves of it are stimulated. 
 Its leaves’ extract cures swelling, effective in eye diseases, liver diseases, stomach pains, vibandh, worms, etc.  

Methods to use Aloe Vera as a medicine

Head related diseases
Headache: Add some daruharidra powder in aloe vera pulp and tie it on the place which pains. It will cure the problem. 

Eye diseases:
Eye problems: If the aloe vera pulp is applied in the eyes, it will cure the problem of redness in your eyes, it also cures heat problem in the body. This is also useful in viral conjunctivitis. 
Take one gram of of aloe vera Pulp and mix 375 milligram of opium and make a packet of this mixture soak it in water and move it on eyes and also for between one and two drops of it in Eyes. This way problem is cured especially pain in the eyes.
Pour some turmeric on Aloe Vera pulp and heat it up a bit and make its packet and tie on your eyes. It will cure pain in eyes.

Ear related problems

Ear pains: Warm aloe vera juice a bit and two drops of it in the ear opposite to the ear which has pain. It will cure your pain. 

Chest problems

Cough: Take aloe vera pulp and saindhav salt, and prepare their Bhasma, and take its 5 gm. with Munakka in the morning and evening, it will cure the problem of chronic cough.

Stomach diseases:

Vataj Gulm: Take 6 gm. of aloe vera pulp, 6 gm. cow ghee, 1 gm. haritiki powder, Sendha salt 1 gm, and mix them together and administer to the patient. It will be very effective. 
Stomach cyst: Tie the pulp of aloe vera on your stomach, it will cure the problem. It will also clear your stomach. 
Stomach pain: Take 10-20 gm. roots of Aloe vera and boil it in crushed form. Then filter it well and pour roasted Hing on it, administer this preparation to the patient. It will cure the problem. 
Gulm: Take equal quantities of aloe vera pulp and ghee (60-60 gm), with 10 gm. each of haritika powder and saindhav salt, and mix them together well. Use it 10-15 gm. in the morning and evening as it will cure your problem. 
Enlarged Spline: Take 10-20 ml. aloe vera extract and 2-3 gm. turmeric powder and consume it. It will cure your problem of enlarged spline and indigestion. 
Gulma: take cow ghee between 5 and 6 grams and mix dry ginger pepper and Pipli in aloe vera pulp besides also add Haritika and sendha salt powder. Use of this mixture cures the problem.

Anus disease

Bleeding piles: take 50 grams of Pulp of aloe vera and mixed to grams of geru powder and make its tablet. Spread this tablet on off soft rak cotton and tie on anus as it will cure pain in the anus and burning sensation as well will be cured and enlarged the anus skin will get surprised and return to normal position. This formula is very useful in this problem. 

Liver - Spline  Problems:

Hepatitis B:  Take 10-20 ml. aloevera juice twice - thrice a day, it is useful in jaundice and hepatitis. It also cures yellowishness of the eyes and constipation is also cured. It is also believed to be useful in hepatitis B when 1-2 drops of its extract is poured into your nostrils. 
Take Pulp of aloe vera leaves and put the pills of the leaves in an earthen pot admix equal quantity of salt and close the mouth of the pot and put it on flame and when inner flude is completely burnt and its colour turns black put it out of the flame admit it’s fine powder and put it in a bottle. If 3 to 6 grams of it is administer to patients by mixing it in buttermilk it will cure the problems like last part of it heaviness in the stomach pain and other digestion related problems.
Weakness of liver: Take two parts of aloe vera leaves juice and one part honey, store them in a china clay pot, seal its mouth and leave for a weak exposed to sun rays. Then filter it well and if this preparation is taken in a quantity 10-20 ml. twice a day it will be very useful in liver problems. Its excess quantity is laxative but if proper quantity is taken stomach will be clear and gastric problem will also be cured and liver becomes strong and its function becomes normal.

Urine and kidney related problems: 

Mutrakrichchhra: Take 5-10 gm. fresh aloevera pulp and add some sugar into it, it will cure your urine related problems. 

Diabetes: Take 250-500 mg Guduchi extract and add 5 gm. Ghritkumari or aloe vera pulp and if it is administered to the patients it will be effective. 

Reproduction system diseases:

Menstruation related problems: Take 10 gm. aloe vera pulp and pour 500 mg Butea monosperma base on it, and administer it twice a day, it will cure the problem. 
Upadansh: In the sores of Upadansh, if aloe vera pulp paste is applied, the problem will be cured. 
Lighaupak: In this disease, if aloe vera extract added with Cumin seed paste is applied on penis then the problem will be largely cured.
Problem in menstruation: Take 1-2 Kumarika Vati from four days before menstruation starts. Take it thrice a day. It will be effective in all types of vaginal problems.
Taking lukewarm water with 1-2 tablets of Rajahpravartani Vati will cure the problem of menstruation.
Pooyameh: Take some Sauviramjan and crush it in a pot with double quantity of aloe vera extract and treat it with 7-5 kg forest dung cake and take its one gram with cream and take curd in food. It will be useful in  goorrhoea. 
Bone Joint diseases: 
Arthritis: If you eat 10 gm. soft pulp of aloe vera regularly, it will be effective in this problem. 
Waist pain: Take wheat flour, ghee and aloe vera pulp and mix them together and use it to prepare chapati then, make powder of this chapati and use it to make Laddos, if it is eaten regularly, it will cure your problem of waist pain. 
Snaayuk: By applying the paste of Alwa the problem is cured.

Skin diseases: 

• If a sore has not developed completely then take some aloe vera Pulp and mix sajjikshar and a little bit of turmeric into it as it helps in full development of soar and open mouth easily. 

• If soar is about to become fully developed then take a little bit of of aloe vera pulp and make it warm and tie on affected place as it helps it in open its mouth. The wound opens mouth then take some aloe vera pulp and mix a little bit of turmeric and tie on it as it it helps in healing it.

• Unpeel aloe vera leaves from one side, add some haridra powder into it, make its packet and tie it on the  affected areas. It will be highly effective. 

• In the problems like wounds, aching, take aloe vera pulp, add some opium and turmeric powder into it the problem will be cured. 

• If the breasts of a woman are wounded, or there is swelling due to some other reasons, make kalk of Aloe Vera roots, then add some haridra powder into it, and tie its packet on the affected part. It will be very effective. You must change it 2-3 times a day. 

• Aloe vera pulp is also very effective to cure the sores. It is also effective on the problems caused due to radiation in our body. 

• Agnidagdh: If anyone has burn in any part of the body, apply aloe vera as it will cure the problem soon. 

• Peel aloe vera leaves from one side and tie on Charmakil appropriately as it is very useful in this problem.

• Take aloevera extract and boil it with kanji and Til and it paste should be applied on the wound, it is very effective.
