Patanjali's role and participation in Yoga, Ayurveda and agriculture

Today, when we talk about advanced technology regarding Ayurveda, it seems less strange, but there was a time when even talking about all these things was a wonder. Around 2002-2003, when Patanjali talked about yoga under the leadership of most revered Swamiji, people said what happens with yoga? Because you must have seen that even today a lot of people come on TV, characters are pre-decided and reactions are taken from them. It is not a result but an advertisement. The way Swami ji started the system of Yoga and Ayurveda, when people came and started saying on television that I had this disease, it was a problem, but now I have recovered, doing yoga has benefited me, so people did not accept this at all.

Misconceptions and mistrust about yoga

People had less faith in yoga and more disbelief that it is some new gimmick. This is some new baba who has prepared his disciples and made them say that he has benefited. At that time a big question was raised because at that time no one said that Yoga Ayurveda is complete in itself is a medical method or yoga can cure terrible diseases. Today everyone has faith. One who does not do yoga, he also believes that diseases can be cured by doing yoga. At that time there was such a time that even the practitioner of yoga did not believe that disease can be cured by doing yoga. Because he did not do yoga properly, no one taught him in that way. Then, for the first time on this earth, someone from all over the world announced with full sting that Yoga and Ayurveda completely destroy diseases, so it was a new thing as well as a challenge for the world. Yoga and Ayurveda, its results, its potential, with full power, with such greatness and energy, no one had ever put before the world. It was only natural for its side effects and challenges to come upon us. People raised different types of questions. Various challenges were given.

Trials and Challenges to Establish Yoga

We are happy to say that for the first time in the year 2003, we organized a huge yoga program in Haridwar regarding the results of Yoga-Ayurveda camp started. At the time when the yoga camp was going on, we were in touch with the entire team of doctors of PGI Chandigarh, which was headed by Dr. Gupta. He measured all those pre and post results and he himself was amazed and surprised to see the results. He said that we never thought that yoga would yield such results.
After this another big camp was held at Premnagar Ashram in which the team of doctors sent Dr. Bhalla as a participant in the camp. He was a respiratory patient and used to take sorbate tablets as a diet.
The team of doctors told Dr. Bhalla to go to Baba's camp and see. Anyway, you are not in a position to move around. Either you will be dear to God or else something will happen. Dr. Bhalla did not reveal himself and attended the camp like a camper. He was recuperating in the camp and getting rest. On the fourth day, he could not control himself and came himself and told that Swamiji, I have not come, I have been sent. We have all those recordings. So don't know how many spies would have happened, don't know how many direct and indirect examinations would have been taken. But Satyamev Jayate Nanritam.

International Yoga Day is unquestionably the result of revered Swamiji's tenacity and effort.
Patanjali is an example to restore Yoga, Ayurveda. There were so many institutions of yoga at that time. There were so many yoga teachers. Today, in every street, every nook and corner, in every village, every town, in every corner of the whole world, due to the efforts of Patanjali and respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yoga has been accepted as International Yoga Day. So there is someone behind him, in his root, then it can be said without any doubt that he is the result of revered Swami ji's penance and effort.

Resolved to restore Ayurveda in 2006

Now let's talk about Ayurveda, in the year 2006 we established Patanjali Yogpeeth to re-establish Ayurveda in the whole world. We assessed that the absence of an evidence-based medicine system was a major reason for Ayurveda not being recognized globally. The evidence and facts of Ayurveda are in our scriptures but unfortunately the statement of our scriptures is not considered as evidence in the world, it is evidence for us but it is not evidence for the world. To explain the world in the language of the world, we tested Ayurveda on scientific parameters.

What was the mood of the people regarding Ayurveda?

For the first time, we established a very advanced level pathology lab in Patanjali by the order of respected Swami ji. It became the first such Ayurvedic hospital in the country where diagnosis is being done completely modern and treatment is being done with pure yoga and Ayurveda. At that time, many people expressed happiness on seeing Patanjali's advance hospital, but many people had questions whether such a big hospital is needed for Ayurveda as well. From this you can imagine what would have been the state of mind of the people regarding Ayurveda at that time. Now many Ayurvedic hospitals have been opened due to the efforts of the Government of India. There should be work for Ayurveda at the international level as well, for the alternative system, today W.H.O. branch has been established in India.
It is a matter of time when someone carries the science of Ayurveda on his shoulders, even if he leads it in a leading role. At that time Patanjali did those works, presented those establishments, researches and examples to the whole world and as a result, the government also gave full support. The government is also working at its level. Many institutions are opening, many Ayurvedic colleges are opening. In this, some people's thinking may be commercial, but even for those with commercial thinking, if somewhere there is strength in that genre, then people tend to get involved. Because our thinking was not commercial, we also suffered financial losses for the re-establishment of Ayurveda.

Farmers got fair price for their produce

It is a matter of year 2004-2005 when a farmer from Shamli came to us and told Swami ji that even the cost of Amla is not being recovered in full. All the gooseberry trees planted on 15 bighas of land are about to be cut. At that time there were not so many products of Amla in the market. We also used Amla to some extent in marmalade, some in powder and chutney. Triphala powder was made by drying a little or a little was used in Chyawanprash. Pujya Swami ji did not waste even a moment and asked the farmer to do this, bring all the amla and give it to us. Then we called for big mixers and machines for squeezing. The work of extracting juice was started by installing four-five machines.
Then the demand for Amla Swaras increased, then I came to know that the food processing unit of Punjab Agro Limited, Government of India has been set up in Punjab, juice can be extracted from there. We sent truckloads of amla to extract juice. And all our gooseberries got over. Then came to know that gooseberry season starts earlier in South India. Then we took Amla from North India, South India and many states of the country, as a result of which the value of Amla doubled in one year.
I am happy to say that Patanjali was the first to give this concept that fresh gooseberry juice can also be sold in the market. Today there are at least more than 500 small and big industries that sell Amla Swaras. This happened because of the effort and risk taken by a sannyasin.
Today, Ayurveda is slowly entering the hearts, minds and minds of people in such a way that people have started adopting Ayurveda for their daily consumption. Talking about aloe vera juice, we remember that at one time Amway's aloe vera juice used to cost Rs.1300 a liter and at that time Indian companies did not sell aloe vera juice at all. Then we made available 150 rupees a liter of aloe vera juice through Patanjali. Within some 2 years, the aloe vera juice that cost 1300 rupees became 300 rupees and due to the increase in the cost price, we made our 150 rupees 200 rupees a liter.
That is, not only the re-establishment of Patanjali Ayurveda, but also the work of ending the loot in the market in the name of Ayurveda or the people who had spread illusions was done by Patanjali. It is the result of Patanjali's efforts that today in the form of herbs, Ayurvedic plants like Aloe vera, Lemon grass, Tulsi etc. will be found planted in some form or the other in every home. The credit for this also goes to this Patanjali Yogpeeth.

Ayurvedic medicine got scientific basis

When it comes to Ayurvedic medicine, Dental, Ophthalmology, Panchkarma, Shatkarma, E.N.T. We made all the facilities available. Vata, Pitta, Kapha are most important in the theory of Ayurveda. These principles are our strength. There is no genre in the world which has such a comprehensive description. But according to the country, time and situation, the first attempt to establish those genres in a research way was also done by Patanjali.

E.M.R. System Patanjali's big strength

Patanjali is such an institution where there are more than 5000 centers in Ayurveda medicine which are E.M. R. connected to the system. We have extensive data of patients for research which we on the basis of this, they keep on correcting from time to time.
Patanjali's E.M.R. There is a system, that system is linked with each of our hospitals across the country. We had also requested to the Ministry of AYUSH that we are ready to provide this service at cost price as we are I.T. Also working in the field of This E.M.R. The system is so advanced that when patients came from all over India, what medicines were given to them, what tests were done. This data will help us in research. Research data of more than one crore patients is available with us in a year. Today this power is with Patanjali.
Now the top level international evidence based in Ayurveda talking about research papers, more than 10 dozen top level research papers have been published in International Journals.
Similarly, whether it is the work of complete digitization or the work of keeping data Patanjali is the foremost organization.
