Influence of Yagya on agriculture

Influence of Yagya on agriculture

Swami Yagyadev,  Patanjali Sanyasashram

Increasing population is a serious problem all over the world, the use of various types of chemical fertilizers, toxic pesticides to get more and more production for the supply of food affects the ecosystem, which affects the fertility of the land. The power gets depleted, as well as the environment is polluted. and deterioration of human health.
It is noteworthy that in ancient times, farming was done according to health friendly and natural environment, as a result of which water, land, air and environment were not polluted. India has been an agricultural country, agriculture is considered to be the most excellent work in its culture. Vedic farming system based on the principles of environmental purification and climate control is the result of such excellent thinking of the revolutionary sages of our sage culture, which even today has no match.
The Vedic method of farming is a unique gift given to the human community by the Sanatan culture of India. Vedic Yagya based agriculture can be defined as sustainable organic farming which produces healthy food and nutritional effect for life. It is that system of agriculture which nourishes and enhances the farmer, his crop and environment on a large scale.
At this time, in view of the ill effects of chemical fertilizers, the trend of progressive farmers of the country is again increasingly towards Yagya based agriculture. The reason for this is that the crop produced by this method is not only better in terms of quality, but the fertility of the land also remains intact. Along with this, the balance of the eco system can also be maintained by preserving the environment. Agnihotra agriculture based on Vedic era yagya method is available in front of us today, some of which are as follows. ,
●    Sharma and others (2012): The main objective of the study work done on Yagya was to study the effect of Agnihotra ash on agriculture so that a practical approach could be developed to increase the yield of the crop. A comparative study was conducted using Agnihotra ash and control ash and the yellow soil was amended with ash for the work. As a result of the study, yellow soil with Agnihotra ash gave the best result while yellow soil alone gave the worst result. Agnihotra ash increases yield and growth rate by 20% compared to control ash and by about 40% compared to soil alone.
●    Vasanti Gopal Limaye, (2019) The aim of this study was to assess the effect of Agnihotra on the production of brassinosteroids in plants. Agnihotra or Havan is used in different parts of the world to increase the production on a large scale in agriculture as well as to make plants disease free. Agnihotra is performed at sunrise and sunset, which activates the plant hormone i.e. brassinolide, essential for the growth and development of plants. The study results showed that plants exposed to volatiles released during Agnihotra probably trigger the activation of precursors of phytosteroids or basinosteroids, which are essential for plant growth and development.
●    The objective of this study was to explore the effects of Agnihotra in the management of the fungal pathogen Alternaria solani of potato and tomato crops and the bacterial pathogen Xanthomonas compestris of tomato. The Havan treatment was used for the management of fungal and bacterial pathogens in tomato and potato crops under controlled polyhouse conditions for this study. It was observed that Havan Kriya effectively reduced the chances of early blight disease of potato and tomato and bacterial blight disease of tomato in polyhouse and also reduced the environmental pathogenic microflora by about 70 percent. It is clear from this study that Havan Kriya can be used as an alternative solution to chemical pesticides in protected farming and in integrated pest management.
●    The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of Agnihotra ash in increasing soil fertility. Soil samples were taken from four agricultural fields for this study. After one week the Agnihotra ash supplemented soil was analyzed. A surprising difference was observed in the count and number of soil microbes before and after adding Agnihotra ash. The use of Agnihotra ash increases the overall bacterial flora, which includes effective bacteria i.e. Nitrogen Fixers and Phosphate Solubilizers, Whereas a decrease in fungal flora was observed. Thus the present study showed encouraging results regarding the effectiveness of Agnihotra • ash for increasing soil fertility.
●    Abhang P et and others 2015, an experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of agnihotra smoke on microbial load, ambient air and nitrogen oxide (NOx) and sulfur oxide (SOx) levels in plant growth. These experiments also examined the effects of Agnihotra ash on seed germination, plant
growth, plant genotoxicity and water purification. The study results showed that the microbial load and SOx level were reduced but there was a slight increase in the NOx level in the surrounding air. Agnihotra smoke treatment Along with the growth of plants and the number of seeds germinating when treated with Agnihotra ash was higher than those plants which were not treated with Agnihotra ash and Agnihotra smoke. According to the results, it was observed that when normal water is treated with Agnihotra ash, the solid content and hardness in the water as well as organic oxygen when treated with ash, the water with solid content and hardness- This is accompanied by a significant reduction in organic oxygen demand and microbial load. This shows that the waste water becomes potable and can be reused in the fields. From this result it was seen that if Agnihotra is performed and its ash is used in agriculture, it can reduce pollution and increase the growth of crops.
●    Devi and others (2004) The aim of this study was to find out the effects of Agnihotra on the germination of rice seeds. For this study rice seeds were germinated in Petri dishes in four rooms under different conditions for a period of 15 days. Three sets of data were collected for 15 days each of autumn, winter and summer and the length of stem and root, fresh weight and dry weight were measured and the analyzed data showed that Agnihotra Yagya with Mantra was performed for the other three days. The germination process was highly effective in comparison to the cases. Thus this study showed encouraging results regarding Agnihotra on germination of rice seeds.
●    Kumar, R.,  and others (2018) The aim of the study was to explore the effects of organic farming in reducing pest and disease infestations in lady's finger and improving its quality and yield. Five organic fertilizers were evaluated under soil foliar application and the collected data of the experiment was statistically analyzed. The results showed that the maximum increase in dry matter production and foliar. Agnihotra with the application was received after the ashes. There was a significant reduction in the incidence of diseases and pests and also an increase in ascorbic acid and phenol content in the early growth phase of the crop growth cycle. Thus, the present study shows encouraging results regarding the effectiveness of Homa organic farming in reducing pest and disease infestations in lady's finger and improving its quality and yield.
●    Ekta Chandel, 2019 The goal of this research was to determine how traditional Vedic sacrifices affected seed germination and seedling growth in wheat (Tritium aestivum). To test the efficacy on seeds, two sets were made in which one set of wheat seeds was exposed to the Yagya technique while the other batch was exposed to normal conditions as well as mango (Mangifera indica) wood smoke in an adjacent room. was kept in contact with. The seeds were treated with yagya for four days and the germination of the seeds was measured on the sixth day. The seeds exposed to Yagya smoke had Germination Rate Index 85.08%, Coefficient of Velocity of Germination 77.021% and Average Germination Time 1.29 days, while the other seeds had 48.15%, 36.76% and 2.77% days respectively. Thus the present study shows encouraging results regarding Yagya therapy in seed germination and seedling development of wheat.
The research related to the above mentioned Yagya agriculture recommends the effects of Yagya based agriculture with free throat, so now the time has come for us to leave the poison-free agriculture and adopt Yagya agriculture and also balance the system from all kinds of pollution and disease.
