'Education for Leadership'

  Most revered Swami Ji Maharaj and the most revered Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj had taken a pledge of Swadeshi about 3 decades ago, when they started the movement of Swadeshi education, Swadeshi medicine, Swadeshi products and Swadeshi language. That small spark has today taken the form of a huge mass movement. In this long period, many movements were run under the banner of Patanjali, in which after a big revolution in the field of Swadeshi medicine, Swadeshi language, Swadeshi products used in daily life, Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj ended the conspiracy of the cunning Macaulay in education to do this, he gave the clarion call for Swadeshi education, for which he established Patanjali's educational institutions such as Patanjali Gurukulam, Acharyakulam, Patanjali University and Patanjali Indian Institute of Medical Sciences and Research etc. With this, a very big effort was successful with the formation of the Indian Education Board. In the beginning, many problems came, many storms had to be passed through, but with the alternative-free determination and continuous and intense efforts of Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj, that historic moment came when the Indian Education Board got approval and it came into existence.

A unique confluence of Vedic education along with subject-specific education

Recently, the 7th anniversary of Patanjali Gurukulam was celebrated in the huge auditorium of Patanjali University, in which a glimpse of Indian culture and patriotism was clearly visible. Along with subject-specific education, lessons on Indian culture, traditions and patriotism are also taught in Patanjali Gurukulam. Along with this, Vedic education includes Ashtadhyayi, Mahabhashya, Vedas, Puranas, students are also made proficient in Geeta, Upanishad, Grammar etc.

The theme of the annual function is 'Education for Leadership'

On this occasion, Swami Ji Maharaj said that this year on the annual festival of Patanjali Gurukulam, we have kept its ideological foundation as 'Education for Leadership'. To give meaning to this program and to realize the character of Indian great men, our small Bal Gopal of Patanjali Gurukulam were preparing for a long time. We want to create such capability in our students that they can lead the whole world in various fields. We want to make them proud of their clan and India by developing good personality, leadership and character in them. Various programs are organized according to the theme in the annual festival programs the characters of great men- Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, King Krishnadeva Raya and Guru Vidyaranya Swami Ji, Birsa Munda, Queen Velu Nachiyar etc. were depicted through theatrical presentations.

King Krishnadeva Raya and Guru Vidyaranya Swami Ji

King Krishnadeva Raya established a very large empire starting from the eastern part of South India and reaching as far as the west in the east as he could. His Guru Vidyaranya Swami Ji played a big role behind him. We want to inculcate the same thoughts in every child of the country that Guru Vidyaranya Swami Ji instilled in the mind of Krishnadeva Raya. We want the children of the country to establish new empires and lead them like Krishnadeva Raya.

Birsamunda

Similarly, Birsa Munda ji has had a history of sacrifice. Whenever I remember his heroic and sacrificial life, every fiber of my being thrilled. When we narrate and watch those incidents, we get so absorbed in them that we cannot see ourselves as different from them. Birsa Munda ji's sacrificial history is not just about one tribal and one leader. Birsa Munda ji, whom the tribals call God, is the pride of the entire country. All these incidents are like a scripture, just like someone has studied grammar, philosophy, Ayurveda, etc., similarly the life of each great man is also a scripture for us and has great significance for us.

Queen Velu Nachiyar

Swami Ji Maharaj told that Queen Velu was known as Nachiyar perhaps many people may not be familiar. Rani Velu Nachiyar was the princess of the Ramnad Empire of Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu. She is glorified as the first queen to fight against the British in India. At a time when women were not given equal status and were considered weak, she displayed courage and bravery and fought against the British. Her bravery and sacrifice will always be remembered.

Parents compete for admission in Patanjali Gurukulam

Swami Ji said that there is competition among parents to get their children admitted in Patanjali Gurukulam. There are many parents who are not able to get their children admitted in Patanjali despite their wishes. Millions of brothers and sisters of the country who are not able to educate their children in Patanjali Gurukulam, Patanjali Acharyakulam, Patanjali University and Indian Education Board want to know from us how they should develop their children? How to build personality, leadership and character in them? How can their children become those who bring pride to them, their clan and India? Swami Ji Maharaj greeted all those citizens of the country who want to shape their children in the same way as we are shaping the students studying in Patanjali Gurukulam.

Patanjali Gurukulam

Patanjali Gurukulam was established in the year 2017. Patanjali Gurukulam is a wonderful combination of Vedic and modern education. Here education is provided from nursery to class 12, in which along with modern subjects, Sanatan Vedic tradition is also taught. There is a beautiful arrangement of Vedas, Darshan, Upanishads, Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Panchopadesh etc.

Information about admission to Patanjali Gurukulam

Only girls will be admitted in Patanjali Gurukulam from Nursery to Class 6 for the session 2025-26. Other information related to admission is as follows-
•     Online registration for the entrance examination can be done from 01 December 2024 to 31 January 2025. The registration fee is Rs 1200.
•  Offline examination of class 5 and class 6 will be held on 01.03.2025, offline examination of class 3 and class 4 will be held on 02.03.2025, offline examination of class 1 and class 2 will be held on 03.03.2025 and Nursery, LKG and UKG offline examination will be held on 04.03.2025 in the large auditorium of Patanjali Yoga Bhavan, near Patanjali Wellness Phase-2, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Offline exam timing will be from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
•  The results will be declared on 7th March 2025 at 9 pm on Patanjali Gurukulam website www.patanjaligurukulam.org.
•   Selected candidates will be able to confirm their admission by depositing the fee from 08.03.2025 to 15.03.2025.
•  From 16.03.2025 to 30.03.2025, only selected waiting candidates will be able to ensure admission by depositing the fee.
•    For Nursery, LKG, UKG, Class 5 and Class 6 the fee has been deposited by the selected candidates, they will report at Yoga Bhavan on 01 April 2025 at 9 am.
• The selected candidates of Class 1, 2, 3 & 4 who have deposited the fee will report at Yoga Bhavan on 04th April 2025 at 9 AM.

Syllabus for entrance examination
• For admission into class Nursery, knowing one's own name, understanding parents' names, playing, sense of sharing and caring with others, following instructions, behaviour with peers etc would be observed.
•    For admission in L.K.G., A-Z Mushit Akshar Gyan, Nagam of animals, fruits, colours in Hindi and English. Knowledge of vowels and consonants.

Numbers from 1 to 20 in Hindi and English. Numbers from 1 to 10 in Number Name.
•  Three letter vowels (a,e,i,o,u) words and their phonic sounds for entry in UKG. Sounds of birds, names of domestic and wild animals in Hindi and English. Two or three letter words with similar sound. Numbers 1 to 50 and tables 1 to 5.
•  For admission in class 1, use of this and That, use of A and An, 4 letter rhyming words, Profession (Community helper). Names of aquatic animals in Hindi and English. Numbers 1 to 100, number names 1 to 50 and tables 1 to 10. 2 digit addition and subtraction. Two and three letter words with similar sound.
•   Class-1 NCERT text books for admission to Class 2. Reading skills in Hindi and English.
•     Class-2 NCERT text books for admission to Class 3. Reading skills in Hindi and English.
•     Class-3 NCERT text books for admission to Class 4. Reading skills in Hindi and English.
•     Class 4 NCERT text books for admission to Class 5. Reading skills in Hindi and English.
•     Class 5 NCERT text books for admission to Class 6. Reading skills in Hindi and English.

Note :
•     Entire 16th chapter of Shrimadbhagwadgita is compulsory for all classes. Along with this, assessment of yoga skills is also done.
