Dry shampoos like Dove, Tresmee may cause cancer: FDA

America's regulatory Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has found cancer-causing chemical restless in 19 shampoo products, including R K V. For this reason, the regulator has directed to recall all types of shampoos made from the market in 2021 and thereafter. Hindustan Unilever Limited (Acule) has clarified about the presence of carcinogenic chemical in the shampoo. AQL said that it does not manufacture shampoo made in India. However, some media reports suggest that Ecule's dry shampoo is easily available on online platforms in India.
After the FDA's Recall Notice Unilever recalls 19 dry shampoos from the US market, 19 products have been recalled from the market. These products include Tresmee Dry Shampoo, Volumizing & Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo, Dove Dry Shampoo Volume & Fullness, Dove Dry Shampoo Coconut, Dove Dry Shampoo Fresh & Floral, Nexus Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist, Nexus Energy Foam Shampoo & Revive, Suav Contains Dry Shampoo Hair Refresher.
It is important to mention here that the commonly used shampoo is in liquid form, but dry shampoo is available in aerosol can, so that it can be sprayed on the hair.
Benzene particles in dry shampoo reaches the body
Using dry shampoo can clog hair follicles. Hair growth may stop. According to the US regulator FDA, benzene found in dry shampoo enters the body in several ways. When someone sprays shampoo, tiny particles of benzene enter the body through the nose, mouth and skin. This increases the risk of leukemia and blood cancer.
Which company's products are these?
British multinational company Unilever Plc has announced the recall of aerosol dry shampoos from several popular brands including Dove and Tresemme. Bands whose dry shampoos are being recalled include Dove and Tresme, as well as Nexxus, Suave, and Tigi. According to a Bloomberg report, the decision to recall these products has been taken after a chemical called benzene was found in them. Due to this dangerous chemical, humans are prone to cancer.
Recall of products made before October 2021
According to the report, the products that Unilever has announced to recall were made before October 2021. Boat), and spray-on antiperspirants such as Procter & Gamble's Secret, Old Spice and Unilever's Suave. All these recalls have been done after May 2021 due to the presence of benzene in these products during the investigation conducted in the analytical lab named Valisure. In December last year, P&G had to recall its Pantene and Herbal Essences dry shampoos due to the presence of cancer-causing benzene in aerosol products.
Why is benzene found in the propellant of the spray?
According to the report, benzene has been found several times in the propellant used to spray dry shampoo or other products from the can. Actually propellants like propane and butane are commonly used for spray in such cans, which are found on refining crude oil. It is common to find adulteration of benzene in petroleum products. The FDA has not set any limit on the maximum amount of benzene in dry shampoo and other cosmetics. But the agency says that exposure to benzene can cause leukemia or other blood cancers.

Antibiotic effect on cow's milk: Due to heavy dose, drugs seeping into milk, risk of weakening immunity

The demand for dairy products is increasing rapidly in the world. Especially the demand for cow's milk is highest. Cows are being given repeated injections of antibiotics to make ends meet and to increase production. The result is that antibiotics have started seeping into the milk of the cows.
Normally this should not happen, but due to heavy dose this situation is happening. When people use this milk, a small amount of this antibiotic is reaching their body, which affects immunity. Due to this, the antibiotics given to them at the time of illness do not work.
Drinking such milk will make you vulnerable to diseases.
This has been revealed in a recent study by Cornell University. Most of the people use cow's milk more during illness. In such a situation, the effect of antibiotics given to prevent the disease decreases.
Researcher Dr. Renata Ivanek says that most of the antibiotics in the world are being used for more production in the dairy industry. To combat antibiotic resistance globally, it is necessary to reduce the use of antibiotics in cattle.
For this a study was done on American citizens. Milk cans containing antibiotics were labeled RAU. It revealed that people's willingness to buy labeled milk was the same as that of unlabelled milk. Although buying labeled milk was the first choice of the people.
The growth of bacteria found in the intestines is less
Excessive amounts of antibiotics reduce the growth of bacteria found in the cow's intestines. This bacterium is found in the intestines of ruminant animals. This can affect the quality of milk.

Medicines are becoming ineffective on infection: More than 5 million deaths due to fungal infection in the world every year

The World Health Organization (WHO) has drawn attention to bacteria that are often overlooked by issuing an amount of human health. They have spread widely. are fatal and are treatment resistant.
30-6
The organization lists 19 fungal diseases. Of these, four have been kept in the category of very serious. More than 5 million deaths occur every year in the world due to diseases caused by fungal infections. Many of the deaths are of people suffering from HIV, cancer, TB and other diseases. Such people are more prone to infections. Health officials say the death toll from fungal infections could be much higher because many hospitals and clinics, especially in poorer countries, do not have the means to diagnose them. We don't know the full extent of the problem, says Dr Carmem Pessoa Silva, a WHO official who focuses on disease control. Climate change has increased the geographic range of some infections. Fungal infections have also increased due to the corona virus epidemic. Many corona patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit succumbed to stubborn germs like Candida auris. These infiltrate the body through oxygen tubes and intravenous lines. Mucormycosis, a rare but extremely aggressive germ, had affected thousands of corona patients in India. The disease is also called black fungus. Many patients had to undergo facial disfiguring surgery to get rid of the infection. Due to the overuse of antibiotics in humans and agriculture, many bacteria have become resistant to them. Similarly, in the last few years, the effect of anti-fungal medicines is decreasing. Scientists say, medicines do not have much effect on the deadly bacteria Aspergillus fumigatus for weak people. This has happened due to heavy use of fungicides in valuable crops like grapes, maize and cotton.
Death rate 30 percent
Treatment becomes difficult once the fungal infection enters the bloodstream. For example, the death rate after infection of the blood with fungi of the Candida family is 30 percent. The rate is even higher for Candida auris, one of the four dangerous fungi listed in the WHO report. This fungus was first identified in Japan in 2009. It has spread to about 50 countries. It often has the potential for resistance to multiple drugs.

Whereas American woman Jennifer Mitchell claimed that she had developed uterine cancer after using L'Oreal's hair straightening products.
