Today, the problem of environmental pollution before humanity is standing in a frightening form. Urbanization, industrialization, increasing use of automobiles, problem of nuclear materials, population growth, noise and fumes from vehicles, smoke from factories, destruction of forest wealth, insecticides sprayed in fields, in the form of manure Due to chemical mixture used, unplanned and unscientific development, luxurious life, etc., the environment is getting polluted continuously. Man's moving away from nature and artificial lifestyle in place of natural life has also made the problem very frightening. Fearful human wants to seriously think about environmental pollution. The word environment is derived from the prefix "Vri" with the prefix "Vri" suffixing "Lute", which means covered from all sides. 'Paritha Samyak Vrnoti Aachhadayati Paryavaram' means that there is some natural covering around us, all of that is called environment. Under the environment, all the physical and chemical elements of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere and all living things and all types of plants are included. In fact, the environment is made up of abiotic, biotic and energy components, which are related to each other on a large scale through cyclic mechanisms.
Environment includes all those conditions, organization and influences that affect the emergence, development and death of a life or species. Modern environmentalists have accepted the separate existence of physical and biological environment and have given a new name ecological science to the relationship between these two.
To solve this menace of pollution, Indian thinkers have propounded so much in ancient Indian literature that today we feel the need to return to it. The sages who lived in harmony with nature had well understood the truth of the world and they believed in living a natural life.
In the oldest Vedic texts, the air, water and the earth element have been called life. Atharvaveda says about air.
Pranamahurmatarishvanam Vato Ha Prana Uchyate l
Pranohabhutam Bhavyam Cha Prane Sarvam Pratishthitam l
While expounding the glory of the waters, the sages of Rigveda say
Aap Idva Bheshajirapo Amivachatanih l
Apah Sarvasya Bheshaji Swaste Krinvantu Bheshajam ll
Said in Taitirya Aranyak.
Ime Loka Apsu Pratishthitah l Therer are five types of water described in Rigveda. Divya Aapah, Stravanti Apah, Khanitrima Apah, Swayaja Apah, Avam Samudrartha Aapah l
Whereas in Atharvaveda nine types of waters are described.
Parichara Aapah : Water flowing from snowy mountains
Haimvati Apah: Fast flowing water
SANISHYADA Apah : Fast flowing water
Varshya Apah : Rain water
Dhanvanya Apah : Desert water
Anupaya Apah: Anup country water
Kumbhebhiravruta Aapah: Water kept in pots or brought.
Anabhrayah Apah : Water found by using spade
In the Vedic codes, 'Earth' is honored as mother. The famous Mahavakya of Atharvaveda is 'Mata Bhoomi: Putrohan' Prithivya: The first mantra of Rigveda is a great proof in this regard, fire element is the life of the universe. Taittiriya brahmin says 'Agnina va Ayam Loko Jyotishman.' Fire is the source of energy. Life cannot be imagined without fire.
The most subtle and pervasive element of the universe is the sky. The first element among the five elements is the sky, which is the basis of speech i.e. word and source. The world exists from these five elements, when even a little bit of them is disordered or polluted, everything gets disturbed.
Apart from these, when the human mind, intellect etc. are polluted, there is evil everywhere. In order to protect the human race and the nation in these pollution, many measures have been specified in the Vedic and secular Sanskrit literature. The Vedic sages invoke Vayu and address it as medicine.
Vata Aa Vatu Bheshajam Shambhu Mayobhu No Hade l
Prana Aayunshi Tarishata
That is, for the health of our heart, the air should get the wellness agent, the medicine and increase our life. He is a protector like the father of air and beneficial like a brother and friend - Uta Vata Pitasi Na Uta Bharot Na Sakha. Sa No Jeetve Kridhi.
In this way, knowing the power and glory of the wind, behave accordingly. Second way is to behave. Knowing the importance of trees, forests and groves for the purity of the air, it is our supreme religion to protect them in all our souls. We have called plants and medicines as Mother. It is said in Yajurveda.
Aushadhiriti Matarastadwo Devirooparuve I In Matsya Purana a Tree has been considered as equal to ten sons. Dasputrasamam Taruh I While paying respect to trees sage says: Vanana Pataye Namah I Aushadhinam Pataye Namah ll
Trees are good. Aranyanam Pataye Namah. Like the protection of trees and plants, the rituals of yagyas are also considered to be most useful. In the Brahmin texts, it has been described as the best action by saying 'Yagyo Vai Shreshtamam Karma'. There are various forms of Yagya which are infallible measures to protect the air environment with spiritual, physical, social and cultural dignity. Many sages have done extensive research work on Agnihotra or Yagya. This is an invaluable gift of our early morning memory. Many such incidents are written on the pages of history which give the message of saving human or saving life through Yagya.
Yagya is also considered as the best means to protect from water pollution. Due to water pollution, human life becomes endangered with the loss of life of aquatic and other animals and birds, various types of diseases infect the animals, to avoid it, first of all, to heart the importance of water, understand it as medicine and make it It is imperative to culminate efforts to keep it free from pollution. From this point of view the messages of the post-Veda texts are worth contemplating. as
Mutram Vatha Purisham Va Gadyateere Karoti Yah l
Na Drishta Nishkritistasya Varsha Kotishatairapi ll
Uchchhishtam Kafakam Chaiva Gadhaugarbhe Cha Yastyajet l
Sa Yati Narakam Ghoram Brahmahatyam Cha Vidanti ll
here has been a clear command in Taitirya Aranayaka-
Napsu Mutram Purisham Va Kuryanna Nishthiveta
Rigveda respects rivers by calling them the best among mothers. 'Nadyo matritama'.
Flowing waters have been widely praised in ancient literature. Blocking the flow of rivers as if to increase pollution, so the movement of these waters should not be blocked. It is essential to keep the waters free from industrial chemicals, excreta, urine, etc., and to prevent excessive rain and drought according to 'Nikame Nikame nah Parjanyo Varstu, Phalavatyo na Oshadhayah Pachyatam' by the rituals of Yagya. The sea is an inexhaustible source of water, if the sea water becomes polluted then not only the life of crores of aquatic animals will be in danger, but there can be an orgy of destruction far and wide from the beach, so the Vedas say that by the rivers pure and the water which is not polluted should reach to the rivers.
Ya Aapo Divya Uta Va Stravanti Khanitrima Uta Va Yah Swayamjah.
Samudrartha Yah Shuchayah Pavkasta Apo Devirih Mamavantu.
Planting more and more trees and vines also leads to water purification. To keep the earth element pollution-free, motherhood towards the earth is very useful. By calling out the Bhumisukta of Atharvaveda proclaims the glory of the earth. Whatever we get in life it is the earth that gave it.
The measures mentioned in the world famous Bhumi Sukta for the protection of the earth and the human being through it are universal and everlasting.
Satyam Vrihadutamugram Deeksha Tapo Brahma Yagyah Prithivim Dharyanti I Vedic sages for protection of the earth they advice to get rid of dirt and flaws.
Ma No Dwikshata Kashchana
The smell is the nature of the earth. Protecting this smell and making the earth fragrant is the sacred message of the sages.
Yaste Gandhah Prithivi Sambabhuva Yam Vibhratyoshadhayo Yamapah I Yam Gandharva Apsarasashcha Bhejire Tena Mam Surbhim Krinu I
The increasing population of the world is also a big reason for pollution, it should also be controlled, the Vedas say – Bahupraja: Nirtimaavivesh, that is, a person with more children gets a lot of trouble.
Like air, water and earth (land), the protection of Akash (sound) and Agni (energy) is also mentioned everywhere in Vedic literature. Wherever there is energy in the world. its renewable resource there is fire. It has various forms.
solar energy, thermal energy, Electric Energy, magnetic energy, kinetic energy, Potential Energy,
atomic energy, Nuclear Energy, Chemical Energy,
Energy-related pollution can cause terrible destruction, so first prayer has been made from fire. Fire itself is pure. Mahakavi Bhavabhuti in his immortal play 'Uttarramcharit' has said so beautifully 'Tirthodakam cha vahnishcha nanyath shuddhimarhat' - The proper use of this fire is the prevention or protection of its pollution. May this fire be the boon of the creator for mankind, it should not become a curse, it is always remembered.
Akash is the word which means according to the Sanskrit scholars it has been described as Brahma. Bhartrihari in Vakyapadiyam said: Idamndhatamah Kritshram Jayate Bhuvantrayam , Yadi Shabdhahvyam Jyotirasansara Na Dipyate I
In today's time, fast moving vehicles and factories making noise day and night, and obscene songs of radio, television and cinema halls have polluted the sound. To avoid this, silence, melodious speech, recitation of Vedic hymns, quiet singing of songs of devotion to God, singing in melodious voice etc. are such infallible ways, which are definitely protectors.
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Yatra Vishvam Bhavtyekanidam are the feelings and Shrunavantu Sarve Amritsya Putrah,
Anyoanyamabhiharyata Vatsam Jatmivaghnya, Pumana Pumamsam Paripatu Vishwatah Tatha Cha Mitrasyaham Chakshusham Sarvani Bhutani Samikshe Aadi Vaidik Message protect us from internally and externally.
Our world famous Shanti Mantra gives the message of establishing peace, harmony, harmony, love and friendship in the world. From the Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali, from the spiritual rasa of the Upanishads, from the knowledge of Karma Bhakti Yoga of the Gita, from the compassionate poetry of Adikavi Valmiki, from the immortal teachings of Maharishi Ved Vyasa in Shantiparva and from the sweet and sweet poems of Sanskrit great poets like Mahakavi Kalidas etc. Pollution of the earth can be removed and again, the Suman of human culture can fully develop and spread the fragrance everywhere.
